Is there a way to reset your drop rates?
If i farm e.g. on my elementalist in jaga moraine for glacial stones, if i continously do it my drop rate of golds goes(obviously) but is there a way to counterract that drop rate so u go do something and then go back and they drop again?

gold items dont count in loot scaling
I can farm vaettirs for hours using AOE only <without sliver armor> and I always get golds <from 0 to 4 golds per 60 kills>

I suppose you could say that, but personally I consider gold (as in money, not weapons) a good thing to drop, heh.

We all know that the more we go to a certain spot repeatly (in a short amount of time) decreases the chance/number of drops. All loot scaling is, is "...players receive an amount of normal drops...proportionate to the size of their party as compared to a full party." So bigger party more drops and vis versa. The only way to increase your drop rate is to give an area a break once in a while and come back to it later. Can't "reset" the drop rate.

What I do is stop farming a specific area and go do some quests/missions, this seems to work.

My conspiracy theory with absolutely no basis is this...the hidden treasures in NF are a subtle hint about how frequently one should farm an area to maximise the quality of their drops. Shhhh....don't let that one get out
Anet stated when HM / loot scaling was introduced that anti-farming code (repeatedly farming the same location) has been removed from the game. They reckon there are no flags you can clear my running missions. But as Meka said, it doesn't take a genius to observe that quality drops do reduce over time.
The truth is out there, I don't think any of us knows what it is. So just farm your little guts out and hope for the best.

From what I heard when people though the Anti-Farming Code was in. There was a way to remove this. You would have to exit the game like Log out. Than log back in and the Code was removed, another way was to switch Zones. Those were just theories from people is what I heard. Good Example was the Sskai Explotiation. If you got code while farming Sskai just exit the game re log back in the game it would be gone. So Green would drop more. Like I said it just a theory like Antithesis said.

As someone whos actually spent 16 hours+ farming straight I can tell you who the idiots are.
There is no more AFC. ZIP ZILTCH NADDA NONE.
The original way to clear the old AFC was to do 1 easy mission 1 medium mission and 1 hard mission. Or begining middle and end mission.
if you still dont believe me heres one at 11 hours yes it was straight farming the whole time.

idk everytime I farmed the drops tend to suck after 3 runs or so than i say that it for me. If AFC is removed than idk why there so much crappy drops after awhile. To bad that they nerfed Dragon Moss Farm it was good Event drop item place for monks.
