Default Question about weapon Requirements

does that actual weapon requirement make a different in the dmg you do? like if you have req 13 sword with 13 att compared to a req 9 with 13 attributes.

no it does not make a difference... 12 mastery will always get you 100% damge (6-28 axe) and 16 mastery will always bump it up a notch (6.89-32.16)

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/calcula...uru_weapon.php

the requirements are needed to weild the weapon: if you do not meet the req. your weapon will do 'starter' amount of damage (like a weapon with no req. ) Axes with an attribute requirement of 0 have been observed with damage ranges as high as 6-12.

Just to add to the previous post,

Even if you meet the requirement for the weapon, you won't deal 100% of the weapons damage range unless you have 12 in the appropriate weapon mastery attribute. What I mean is that if you have a 15-22 req 11 sword and have 11 swordsmanship, you won't have a damage range of 15-22, even though you meet the requirement.
