Dervish - they might hit hard, but they are slow, rely on enchants and just.. boring.

Assassin - reliance on chained attacks is a turn off

i like all the other classes

My least favorite to use:
1.) Monk - boring to heal deadbeats.
2.) Ranger - bored at shooting arrows.
3.) Warrior - Boring.

My least favorite class to invite to a team:
1.) Assassin - My favorite class, but most players bring out the noob in them.
2.) Dervish - No one knows who to play them these days.
3.) Monks - Heroes are smarter than real people, that's why.

The only class I just do not enjoy playing is Rit. Spirit Spamming is boring, so I tried Channeling, still boring, so I tried Restoration, and still boring. I love all my other chars, the only reason my Mesmer & Sin don't get played as much as everything else is because so many people still think they suck, but then what are some of the 1st classes they want dead?

With 1 being least favorite:

1. Warrior
2. Assassin
3. Tie btwn Dervish and Necro

Put plainly, I suck at melee classes. I have a horrible sense of direction and often get parties lost when I try to lead them through a mission as a tank. I am far less effective a damage dealer than I think warriors ought to be. I'm just not good at the class. I love playing with them, but I do not want to be one. At all.

Assassins are good, and even fun, for some very specific applications. Otherwise, I don't enjoy having them in a party, and I don't enjoy playing them very much. I spend way too much time running away and/or dying when I should be mowing down the enemy, or else I spend way too much time and energy trying to keep them alive when they haven't got the sense to get out of the frying pan!

Necro used to be my favorite character, but the Soul Reaping nerf just took all the fun out of it for me. I used to be a damage powerhouse with a curses build. Now, I'm lucky if I can fire off 4 spells in an average fight before my energy bar is too low to cast anything useful. Not very much fun anymore. Dervish ties for this spot because, well, I suck at melee characters. I spend way too much time casting spells and setting up enchants, and then... The battle's over just as I'm finally ready to charge in. Not very much fun.

I'm surprised so many people think playing a Rit is boring or useless. Rits are so versatile; I'm never bored playing one. Although I will grant you, it's not easy to play one *well*. The first Rit I created ended up a mule, but once I got to know the game better, I created another Rit, and I've never looked back.

Least Favorite characters:
Warrior (to long to build up adrenaline)
Mesmer (until u learn good skills or know how to control them BORING and their armor yuck >.>)
Paragon (wings r cool skills suck)

oh and for the ppl who don't lyk Dervish...there not bad characters u just need to find someone who know how to control them because a Dervish is either rlly good or rlly bad there is no inbetween.

Favorites:

1ervish--I'm a PvEer. Dervishes can handle just about anything for PvE. Enchants get troublesome, but they're still fun.
2:Ranger--Love trapping and B/Ping. A lot. Versatility points, anyone?
3:Assassin--Well, they just look cool and kill damn fast. I often end up having trouble completing attack chains because my enemies are already dead.

Least Favorite:
1:Paragon--They're too awkward. Just too awkward. I like either concentrating on dealing damage OR supporting. But you need adrenaline for everything, so you GOTTA do some damage.
2:Mesmer--Eh, always wanted to do one, but frankly, they're only good for PvP.
3:Ritualist--WEIRD. These guys never made any sense to me. I understand how their effects work, but I never figured out how to make a good build for one.

ok, here goes nothing: There are currently 10 professions in GuildWars, if i am not mistaken, so i will begin from most faved to least faved.

1.Warrior - Nice damage and condition slaming and even some good paladin builds can do high damage.
2.Ritualist - Spirit spam = FTW, i saw quite a few rit team builds that pwned HA and TA and RA and also rits are good pve farmers, survivors and nukers
3.Derivsh - People who blaim this profession for anything are just palin dumb or just so skilles they dont even know what riposte is. This guys have it all gr8 dmg, gr8er HP and nice condition spams + frequent damage type change.+godmodes are totaly killer, 2bad melandru got nerfed.
4.Elementalist - high damge output, with a good build even nice self healing, they are quite voulnurable thou, but if you blend in a heart of shadow its no more mister nice ele.
5.Assassin i guess - they pwn with scythes to do AoE critical and they have the potential for evading damage, projectiles, surprise atacks and are really nicely pwning because of gr8 dmg output. Every1 fears my assassin.
6.Paragon - equip shouts and stances and some other skills and you have a very versatile runner - this doesn't mean that just because of they're heavy armor they're running somewhere slower, they are at least as responsive as rangers, just you guys are to used to the hippie like profession.
7.Necromancer - was my favorite until jagged bones nurf, was my 2. favorite till my soul reaping nurf, its just sliding down i guess, i bet Anet thinks how should they nurf this innocent profession next, hummm, how about flesh golem nurf? they know how to spoil fun...
8.Monk - I hate this guys, i love em in the team, i like to play them a bit but since im not good at playing a god im just dissed all the time, i guess GOD doesn't like me much.
9.Mesmer - hexes and denial FTW? oh, right every prof now has hex removal, oh look, even mesmers have it since core, and look! we have focus swapping, bleh...
10.Ranger - Die, hippie, die - Eric Cratman <-> do i have to xplain my thoughts even more? i mean, lets tame an animal, man, animals are just like humans man, lets run 2gether, man... wooo troll unguent, (ever noticed the canabis simbol on the animation?)... we dont like anything so we'll just use bows and run out of harms way, allthou we have a nice armor level.... man...
and in real criticysm: low dmg output, low dmg input, wannabe condition spammer - not working if you have a P/Mo in the house - nice armor level but insufficien energy regen i just dont think that even they're aewsome kiting and cripling and dunno what the hell can cope for it... this proffession plinly sucks ass... - yes i have plaid it and yes it still sucks...

no, rly... warrior is still the best i just dont know a good build for pvp but im working on a cripslash right now....

c yaw all, die hippie rangers, die... <-imaninja

my favorites in no specific order
1. ritualist- love using him in all areas of PvP my first char that i really enjoyed playing more interesting to me than my original wammo
2. dervish- i dont see why they take so much hate yes their main flaw is from having alot of enchantments but i do not rely on enchantments to do damage as some say and almost laughed when somone said dervish and "tank" in the same sentence
3. necro before soul reap nerf-used to be fun to run different builds on necros because MM never apealed to me :\

least favourite
paragon-cant play them well although have nice chant animations
warrior- seems just way to run here kill that kill that absorb damage
mesmer- im just not very good at playing them in pve but whenever there is one i always pick them up for my group

(hexbraker VS hexes n stuff) use shouts to burn enemies etc....

This is very interesting to me... (and I think a lot of new players as well)

I would love to continue this discussion in a place that I think would get more posts....

I have started a similar discussion with a poll:
