Wow... I should no longer leave my GW on 24/7 O_o....... I only ever log out when it says there's a new build......... yeah, I guess I'm slow on the up-take, but IMO that sucks ^^

Yay, let the paranoia commence. Secret farm code ftl. Honestly, that's just nonsense right there and belongs into the same category as the myth that the amount of other players farming the same place in other instances affects your drops.

I've probably opened about 75 hard mode chests and i'd say its about 75% of the time golds. 1 outta 5 times i retain the lockpick. For me i get better drops too..req10 elemental sword was by far my best drop ever in gw!

Naturally, as with most chests, the golds aren't always super-valuable auctionable items, though most, if not all, of the golds yielded by locked chests seem to bear perfect mods.

Oh my god! Is ANet hiding something from us? How could that be :O

You guys do realize that they don't HAVE to tell you about updates, it's their game and they can change whatever they like. We are all just lucky enough that they offer an ear and listen to what the players have to say as well. I'm quite happy about it, and you won't see many mmo companies that will actually go out and do that.

There is no anti-chestrun code... It's only luck or unluck. One time I was running kurzick chests, just logged on, and about 15 purples and 1 gold. After that I started getting tons of golds... Or my "anti-chestrun code" turned backwards? Dont think so. Dont be paranoid.

it isn't bad luck when you do chest runs and get 30 purples in a row, it happens because of anti farm code

Why do people keep having conspiracy theory about anti chest farm? It's called "the gold-purple ratio is random". Random doesn't mean that for every 10 chests opened, you get 6 golds. Random means that if in the long run you get 40% golds, your first 30 chests may yield 20 golds, but your next 20 may all be purple. I've had cases where I start a run and get 8 out of 10 purples, then continue to get 6 golds in a row. Learn to deal with the randomness of chest opening.

It is... Trust me, I'm lvl 4 treasure hunter, and as I said, it happened with me to get tons of purples, and AFTER THAT nearly only golds.

There has to be some drop-quality-reducing code connected to those chests as the more i run them the higher purple percentage i receive. At the beginning it was like 1purp:5golds but now its almost 50/50. I've heard many people report this so it can't be just random.

Well they said that the chances had to do with your Lucky and Treasure Hunter titles didn't they?
I just skimmed it because I don't play that much any more but I remember it saying that...if it does then I would just stick to what they said and get up the titles before saying anything about declining ratios...
