Mo/D 55 Build (need help finalising)
Hey all. I'm sorry if this build has been thought up before, but I have been running it for about a week now and it's been very successful. I haven't seen it anywhere, so I am going to take credit for it, although it is nothing special.
This is used to farm in heavy-KD areas. Originally, I thought it up for farming runes from Tundra Giants. Due to it's success there, I am testing it in other areas. I included a SS of Hydras.
NB: The Tundra farm is alright for profit, but not brilliant. I mainly do it for the runes, as well as the materials gained from Salvaging Giants Boots.
Attributes:
12 + 3 + 1 Smiting
6 + 3 Protection Prayers
6 + 3 Divine Favor
10 Earth Prayers
Skills:
Protective Spirit, Mystic Regeneration, Fleeting Stability, Shield of Judgment, Pious Haste (explained use later), Balthazar's Spirit, Essence Bond, Blessed Aura
Using the build:
Use hench and leave from DWC in a regular armor set. Kill through to the portal to snake dance (takes around 5 minutes) and then flag the hench. Switch to a 55 set of armor and enchant yourself. You need at least 30 energy before engaging mobs. Alternatively, get a guildy to run you to the portal from Camp Rankor and then leave. This is preferable.
Head north, up the windy path, and then just farm every single Tundra Giant you can find. I have tanked as many as 12, although with reduced hp from dying (during testing). With regular 55hp, no more than 10 is advised. Maintain Protective Spirit, Mystic Regeneration and Fleeting Stability. Only use SoJ once they are ALL attacking. Due to their Berserker stance and immunity to KD, they die very fast.
You can also kill any Blessed Griffon that might be in your way, although its slow so don't go out of your way to do it. 2 SoJs and tanking and they're dead. Not sure about Mountain Trolls...been to scared to test them ^^.
Pious Haste must ONLY be used to escape from single/double Azure Shadows. When they pop, cast Protective Spirit and then wait for the Knockdowns. Then use Pious Haste to run. This is because they are slow, and unless taken on with a group of Giants, its boring and pointless
Piccies:
Help Needed Here:
This is where I could use some help. Currently, to farm Tundras, I am leaving from DWC and using hench to fight through to the portal to Snake Dance. This takes about 5 minutes, as I use them purely as meat-shields for the last group. Once through, I flag them at the portal, switch to 55 gear and go.
But before that, I was running up from Camp Rankor using Pious Haste + a regular set of rune-free armor. I keep dying at the Troll/Ice Golem cave, or just after due to mass KD before I have time to apply any enchantments.
Any ideas for this bit are welcomed.
Additional
Thought I'd see how many Hydra I could lure and tank at once. I died first to reduce my hp to 33, then rushed in, Leroy Jenkins style. Strangley, the scatter wasn't bad and 2 SoJ's got all but 1 of the Hydra dead. Tried twice more with the same result.
Hope this build is useful to some of you. Like I said, it's nothing new, but it's effective, easy and it works almost without fail.

A suprisingly short amount of time. The first SoJ gets them all to quite low hp, and because they don't suffer KDs, the second SoJ is usually enough to kill them all.
I might make a recording of it and post it here.
I hadn't seen that page before. I don't like SoA builds anyway. Mines pretty much idiot proof ^^

I used to farm hydras a lot but that was before nf so didnt have derv skills. I went mo/w with balenced stance that i put up when casting soj
It was also easy to do it with tainted flesh as mo/n. possible slightly slower but you can take on more as they dont all need to be hitting you.
Hydras used to give good drops. A gold every run or two of the area outside augary rock and a few k per run in drops and collectables.

You dont need fleeting stability to kill hydras, nor do you need over 10 pips of regen. If you go regular 55, you can use zealot's fire and kill them all under the first SoJ.
Btw, if you're using earth prayers for mystic regen, make it either 8 or 13. I use 8.

No.
I used 10 because I had points which DIDNT NEED SPENDING for the build to function. Since Fleeting Stability won't be increased in duration by Blessed Aura, I boosted my Earth Prayers.
I have my reasons..
