Talking 55 crippled but not dead

After the implementation of 1/8 share I thought that solo 55 would be a waste of time, but with the addition of hard mode I stand corrected. You can still make some decent money for time spent. Granted not as glorious as before but ok money. New places have opened up for 55 monking. Hard mode has turned any area into a high level monster fest. Monsters will follow farther then before and also monsters that did not attack unless provoked will now attack you. For just a little run around in circle you can agro a large mob. Why solo for just a 1/8 share you ask? Well for just the additional gold that is dropped. Gold is shared by the party and its drop rate should not have been affected. Well I am making an assumption studies will have to be done to make sure this is true. High level monsters drop close to 100 gold and also there is a chance for purples and gold items. Which can add up to some good money overtime? No need to share it if you can kill them all yourself.

55 is still good for areas like UW, where ecto drops don't matter. The 1/8 nerf is mainly used to prevent bot farmers from amassing as much gold in noob areas.

the 1/8 share nerf only affects gold, whites, blues and perhaps purples... golds, greens, rare materials, dye, etc arent affected and thus soloing is still good...
but why would you 55 in low lvl areas in HM when you can take easier builds with say warriors and eles? also there is a little problem with 55ing, almost all mobs have enchantment strip so you pretty much have to do with spell breaker but than you wont have SoJ for damage...

Standard 55 build with SoJ - Try right outside Sunspear Great Hall lots of critters all with no enchantment removal

Average drops do seem a bit nerfed, but there are some upsides:
1. Better drop rate for gold items, rare materials, dyes, etc.
2. You can now aggro 20+ mobs again, unlike under the previous AI. This makes farming go a bit faster.

im sorry this is a load of crap!

you can farm in hard mode finhe outside shing juy monestry (or what eva) on the kappa easy!! plus the chance of golds and dyes are still good esspecialy in that area.

"Hard Mode" Basic beginning areas have become farm spots.

One thing i get a kick out of is that Lvl 20 plus critters will drop Salvagable items like Termite legs worth 3 gold

Its very apparant that the 55 monk builds aren't in as bad of a condition as one would hope, they are still fine and working the same as always.

I see no reason for this thread to continue because changes were made to the game to effect Gold drops, greens etc.

The 55 monk build is fine, if not better than before with hard mode.
