The flaming has been drowned anyway, could we all go back to talking about the build that he posted? :.
And in my opinion, the build isn't really too bad, though a monking mesmer usually is not appreciated...saying "Monking Mesmer lfg" really doesn't get you anywhere...and parties in RA will leave the party if they see a monking mesmer. >>; As we can do so much more then just mimic another class. ._. It has steady energy regain, with a bit of healing, though not nearly enough to really save a whole party from a really tight pinch. :. The build could be put to use for something other then support monking. :.<Wow, thats really hard to read... o.o Sorry about that.. "D>

Hehe, ill cut your post to the part that I found most important. Its not a horrific build however its not very practical.
While it can sustain a steady heal per second (HPS, hahaha.. im a nerd).
In PvE this isnt really needed, because people can just take "regen breaks". I see this as ONLY a support monk to keep the party healed over long periods of time without exaustion.
Healing Touch is extremely out of place, remove it completely. Something like [skill]Ethereal Light[/skill] or [skill]Healing Whisper[/skill] would work a million times better. AND if you were really planning ahead have a monk friend bring [skill]Light of Deliverance[/skill] and Mimic it.
While the thought is there, players in the game dont really need an "all time healer" (except in maybe The Deep or other special places) so this build wouldnt be very effective for 98% of the game

Better off mimicing [skill]Healer's Boon[/skill], as far as powering heal party is concerned.

just a thought, but if you're playing "utility backup monk", perhaps you should stick in purge signet (probably replacing healing touch). you'd certainly have the energy to run it.

If you took that in an all Mesmer trip it might be ok, a better set up heal/prot mesmer covers the main damage, that deals with the niggly bits.
But as for a use in a real team... you won't get anywhere. You wouldn't replace a real monk and you have 0 damage output so you'd be a wasted slot.
Why has nobody mentioned the second part of Keystone Signet yet? "All of your Non-Signet skills are disabled for 4 seconds". Its the reason Archers Signet is also next to useless. Ether Signet also relies on your having low energy, which is never a good place to be in, if you need to quickly spam a few spells you wouldn't have the energy for it.
I'm with Avarre on this, the Keystone Bonder is really the only use you'll get from it.
