Scythe Mastery 10 (7+3)

I know those aren't all the attributes, the rest I gain as I finish leveling will go into Scythe. I also know I should be 20 before I post this, but damage isnt the problem right now.

I am looking for a tanking/damaging hybrid. While testing this build I found that I am almost constantly running at less than 10 energy. Am I playing the build incorrectly? I would like some advice on what I could do to improve my energy management, and the build as a whole.

those there enchants there are 10 energy a piece, which is already 30 energy to start you up.
so you definitely would have energy problems.
find yourself a zealous scythe and it should help.
consider a cheaper tanking/damage hybrid such as:
[skill]mystic sweep[/skill][skill]eremite's attack[/skill][skill]conviction[/skill][skill]mystic regeneration[/skill][skill]mystic vigor[/skill][skill]avatar of balthazar[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
open skill slot, you could put [wiki]heart of fury[/wiki],[wiki]vital boon[/wiki],[wiki]zealous renewal[/wiki] anything you like.

try that instead. a few of the skills n your build are pretty bad. this one will out-damage and out-survive yours

Coloneh, why not switch out Mystic Sweep for Wearying strike? It does more dmg than Mystic with only 2 enchants and inflicts a deep wound. The self-inflicted weakness can easily be handled with Mending Touch. I realize Reaper's Sweep also inflicts a deep wound, but only when target is below 50%.

First, you would probably swap [wiki]reaper's sweep[/wiki] out, not [wiki]mystic sweep[/wiki] since you couldn't carry two elites anyway. Plus, [wiki]mystic sweep[/wiki] is one of the best spammable scythe attacks a dervish has.

If you use [wiki]Mending Touch[/wiki] after [wiki]wearying strike[/wiki], it costs you 10 energy a cycle which means you won't want to use the combo unless you have at least 10 energy because you don't want to get stuck with weakness. If you can manage it, I guess it would be fine since you are bringing [wiki]Mending Touch[/wiki] anyway, it juse seems like you might have more down time between your skill usage waiting for the energy to regen, plus managing to use mending touch for offense and defense at the same time might be tough. I would hate to have conditions applied to me right after I casted it, so now I have to wait for it to regen before clearing myself.

I would, however, substitute [wiki]victorious sweep[/wiki] in place of [wiki]eremite's attack[/wiki] in coloneh's build since the damage is not reliant on enemies being around and it gives a nice self heal. The only difference is a slightly longer casting time which I don't think is as important as the self healing and consistant damage output. Just my personal opinion.

Regarding your first suggestion, I have no idea of what you're talking about. I didn't suggest a second elite. Then again, you may not be replying to my post, but that wasn't very clear.

Now, I'm not saying that you should continually spam Wearying strike and Mending touch. Wearying strike is used as an opener, then you can spam your 2 other attacks. You wouldn't have the energy to spam 3 attacks and keeping your enchants up at the same time anyway.

This is what I was referring to. I know you didn't suggest two elites, however, I was just pointing out that it was not necessary to take mystic sweep out since you would have to ditch reaper's sweep anyway. Maybe I mis-undersood what you were saying?

For me, I use a zealous scythe so I don't usually have a problem keeping my enchantments up and spamming 5 energy skills. Mysticism does pretty well keeping enchantments up and the zealous scythe allows for the skill spam. This is just my personal preference though.

because that combo costs 10 energy, and chilling victory will do more damage if your willing to spend 10 energy. mystic and the other one arent really for the bonus damage(though its a nice perk) they are there to cancel the time between scythe attacks so you can actually kill something. you dont need a deep wound on a 100% health target. you need it 1 swing before you could kill them.

a lot of people use [skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill] for some energy but if youre going for 12 scythe IDK how well it will work... i think they might use [skill]Attacker's Insight[/skill] or [skill]Onslaught[/skill] with it

try using some spells that you can use with SoPL, that will add for some energy management... store away some energy in the forst of an enchant then use SoPL to gain it back when youre ready for a spike...
