It depends how good you are at monking. Where your party is. In PvE your bar should change with every different area you are in as different things are required. You can't have one bar for all places. I would not suggest trying to solo monk for an 8man group without some other source or heal (eg a healing rit). In any area where your party can take damage (eg not nub islands) you need a lot of heals to keep up with it unless all the agro is on the tank (not likely). Why would you want to solo monk anyway when you can run 2-3 monks?

If I were you in the situation I would switch ZB out for LoD like heal party other wise it is not bad and drop GoH.I would even take out your rebirth if there are going to be /Mo let them do the ressing if you are going to be the only Monk in the party.

depends on the area. my guess is that, if you are good you can solo monk all of
-proph
-factions except raisu palace
-nightfall up to torment area

with the build.

Then doesn't ZB suck for 8-man parties? If you're going with another heal monk, then ZB will just complicate healing between the two monks. Is Restore Condition the only way to go as a prot monk alongside a heal monk, then? Because, so far, it seems like it would take major skill to solo with this bar. Not all of us have major skill

It's kind of a moot point, since any decent monk build can solo monk. The big reason people bring two monks is to lower the pain of the Mo/N with animate bone horror and vamp gaze when you get him.

The usefulness of ZB is inversely proportional to the party size.

What I'm asking is this: Can ZB be used AT ALL in effectiveness in an 8-man party? If this build can solo, then YES. If it can't, that means you need another monk with you, so ZB will complicate things. That's the only reason I'm asking if you can solo with this build. Don't tell me to bring LoD...

I solo monked a 7 player team in fow with the same build except I had glyph of lesser energy instead of rebirth. (the second monk had to leave soon after we began)

If you play with smart casters that know how to kite and don't over agro, it's doable. It was quite fun actually.

there saying it does work, but it depends upon ur party how good they are. and LoD is a better solo monk, cos of the anti pressure. u can all ways go /me and use
the one that get the eilte spell of ur allie, so if u make soem one go/mo and take HB u can get HB LOD wich coudl solo most teams .

I solo-monked every mission in Nightfall (all masters) with pretty much that exact bar, expect I usually ran Sig of Devotion over SoA.
Of course, that was before ZB was nerfed, but it wasn't that bad of a nerf so I'm sure I could do it again post-nerf if I wanted to.

Three pieces of advice for you:
1. ZB rapes PvE (no one should even mention LoD in this thread again)
2. Aggro management is BY FAR the single most important thing in PvE.
3. Finding a group that understands #2 is the key to success.

Proper aggro management is like hitting a big "I win" button. All the perfect builds in the world won't save you from crappy aggro management.
