D/E Frozen Scythe
Saw that W/Es running conjure builds seem to be dominating PvP rather well, just decided that I'd try making a similar build for dervishes:
You'll need a cold damage scythe, preferable with 15^enchanted and 20% enchanting. The preorder Icy Soulbreaker of Enchanting is ideal. It has a cool skin too!
Scythe Mastery - 10+3+1
Mysticism - 11+1
Water Magic - 10
Conjure Frost
Frigid Armour
Heart of Holy Flame
Twin Moon Sweep
Steam
Chilling Victory/Reaper's Sweep{E]/Wounding Strike{E}
Pious Renewal {E}/Armour of Sanctity
Resurrection Signet
This build can deal a fair amount of damage against casters, assassins and other dervishes. Against warriors and rangers, the damage is less impressive but it still works well.
If you chose Reaper's Sweep or Wounding Strike as your elite, take Armour of Sanctity as your 7th skill. If you chose Chilling Victory, take Pious Renewal in your 7th slot.
Conjure Frost is a simple damage buff, it doesn't look glamuorous, but it packs a punch when used with Twin Moon Sweep+another scythe attack skill. Frigid armour isn't amazing defence, but the immunity to burning makes Searing Flames unable to damage you. Conjure Frost and Frigid Armour should always be kept up.
For damage, use Heart of Holy Flame+ Twin Moon Sweep. This will do 51 holy damage to all adjacent foes, cause you to attack twice (dealing 2X conjure damage) and set all adjacent foes on fire for 3 seconds (oh, and heal you for 44 health :P ). Before the burning ends, quickly follow up with Steam for 60 cold damage and 8 seconds of blind.
After using whichever second attack skill you chose, they target should be on low health if not dead.
Oh, and about the 7th skill slot, it's for a low energy cost, low recharge enchantment you can use to make the most of Twin Moon Sweep when your other skills are recharging. Pious Renewal gives better energy management, but at the expense that you then can't take an elite scythe attack.
IGN is Mist Walker Skarloc, so whisper me if you have any questions, or want to tell me that you're enjoying my build :P
If you like this build, great, enjoy it and please comment. If you don't, leave a sensible comment on how it can be improved, but don't flame.

[skill]Heart of Fury[/skill] > [skill]Heart of Holy Flame[/skill]?
not sure why you'd want Holy Flame in PvP.
when running that many enchants already, you might consider [skill]Crippling Sweep[/skill], possibly instead of [skill]Steam[/skill], i'm not *that* sure why you actually put it. :P though, the blind kind of is a nice thing to have in certain situations.
your Armor would also work better when running the cripple. (not that it's needed, just a little extra)
how's energy btw? if it's fine enough, you could always kick Frigid (you already have a cover enchant)for Chilling, or [skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill] for a nice quick follow-up spike which works well with enchants on you.
*edit* ok tested both, works nicely. gonna try them later against some humans and not dummie bashing to see how energy and stuff goes. :P

dang, i finally got a Greneth's Graspe to test a similar build and you beat me to it, lol.
For situations with lots of casters Lyssa might be a good elite to take (sine its added dmg is pretty awesome vs casters)
Also, im gonna asume you meant [skill]Heart of fury[/skill] instead of holy flame, lol
Depending on the situation you have lots of options for elites which is nice (water, myst, and scythe)
I got my Cold Scythe yesterday and tested some of it briefly and it was fun. Worth trying out imo.

Thanks for the replies, glad you tried it out and liked it. Thanks for the ideas, Mokone.
And boarderx, yeah, meant Heart of Fury, I'll edit that now lol
Thanks for pointing that out.

I was running this build and frankly it does nice damage but the thing is that with Heart of Holy Flame you loose the extra damage from conjure frost because you are doing holy damage. Heart of Fury is what you want to increase attack speed. IMHO as playing dervish I have noticed that they are fine for spike damage but good dps is only possible with IAS on your bar. I personally prefer [wounding strike]

Now now, play nice!
Ivan, Heart of Holy Flame wasn't for the holy damage, it was just for removing so you'd hit twice with Twin Moon Sweep and set them on fire. Still, Heart of Fury's better.
Gonna check out some skills and will then enter another build for you to enjoy
Again, it uses the Soulbreaker as an ideal weapon, but it won't be D/E

wierd build, lol
why mystic sweep? its not a max attack with only 2 enchts. Why do you have that many points in Myst? With only 2 enchts you dont get much from it anyway id put Myst at zero and put that into others. I dont think i would run that build but hopefully that will help you run that build a lil better.
Victorious Sweep is a good one to add instead of mystic sweep
[skill]victorious sweep[/skill]

Has any1 ever considered going with conjure flame and burning speed:
Burning Speed [edit] Enchantment Spell. For 5 seconds, you are set on fire and move 30...42% faster. When Burning Speed ends, all adjacent foes are set on fire for 3...8 seconds.
As burning speed is an enchant, u can easily remove it before it starts to burn u up and then u get an 8-sec AoE burn .
Mark of Rodgort [edit] Hex Spell. Target foe and all nearby foes are Hexed with Mark of Rodgort. For 10...30 seconds, whenever each foe is struck for fire damage, that foe is set on fire for 1...3 seconds
This 1 can be useful but it's kinda energy heavy.

The main reason for Mystic Sweep isn't to get it to max damage. I used it because it has a quick activation, making it perfect for spiking. The extra +20 damage isn't something to ignore, but it would work even if you didn't have any enchantments.

This build isn't meant for RA or any other solo role. You should have a monk to back you up, and whenever you need energy just call on him to put up a RoF or two. Easy energy. Without any Mysticism, you have to rely on your 4 pips of energy regen, which wouldn't work that well at all.

It's a decent skill, but doesn't really fit in with the point of the build. This build is meant to have quick, clean spikes and Victorious Sweep will probably hinder the ability to do that since it's a normal attack.

It just seems that with tweaks you can maximize it with more self healing and more dmg so you can spike more.

My options i gave you werent for RA either im a PVE guy(PVP is too..well...its not to my liking), its nice to deal a pounding to your foe and have the monks not worry about you as much.

imo the pluses out way the minuses, lol. Vict sweep is for +more dmg then Mystic sweep would and also gives some healing(conditional of course).
Here's my basic "cold" derv build(its gets tweaks depending on the area im in)
atts
scythe [11ish]
myst [14]
water [10]
skills
[skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill][skill]Conjure Frost[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill]open, open
options i use a lot:
[skill]Rending Sweep[/skill][skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill]res, and other attack skills
if something doesnt make sense bare with me im at work not on GW, lol
EDIT: of course the elite and number of water spells needed are not set in stone either, the above is my basic template i guess and i chnge it to suit what i need
