What's the general consensus on dye farming in pre-searing? Is there one farming place to get a lot dyes?

Its been awhile since I've been in Pre-Searing. I only started going back about three months ago. I'm finding that there really isn't any one place that you can generally always get dyes. Anyway, is it the same with you guys?

Ascalon Stronghold quest.
The guys right outside Ashford Abbey that are involved with the quest.

Certainly not a dye farming goldmine, but it's easily accessible, fast and certainly not hard.

Meh... I just kill Charr in the Northlands and hope for the best.

I figure anything in the game has as much chance as anything else of dropping dye..... though WHICH dye... I'm not sure. Since I started getting inundated with Yellow dye from the hopping vampires in Urgoz's Warren I've started to suspect that different creature-types drop different dye colours.

But the drop-rate is about the same for all... essentially.

I don't think specific monsters drop specific dyes as I've had a yellow, an orange, 6 greens and 3 blacks from farming the vampires.

i don t think that dyes drop depending on the monster...
Asswell that will take TOO much programing for something that makes farming easier

and Anet is nerving a lot of farming so .... =)

Though it is odd that Filth was getting yellow, orange and green as well.... and I have been getting the same colours primarily (though heaviest on yellow, then green... and just an odd orange). Blacks are rarer though, so they don't typically count.

I'm probably just imagining it in any case.

I found a Black Dye in pre searing at the weekend, is there anything sweeter than pre-searing black dye? I then found in in Gates of Kryta mission. Oddly enough both dropped for mesmers.
