I dunno if anyone else has, but I noticed the portal to mineral springs is alot more heavily guarded, usually because the whole stupid summit spawn has seemed to move over to the right, right in front of the portal. Doesn't ALWAYS happen, but it happens alot...

One of the groups down by the portal is a patrol. If you wait and watch a little they`ll move off to the East. That`s when you make your run, if not they can block you from the portal and your screwed at the rez shrine. I try and wait out anything around the portal or shrine.

These pictures were not photoshoped in anyway. Mmm...must be hard for you W/Me to believe a W/Mo can solo this . Too bad an IDS didn't drop though.

I am glad this is a thread of farmer's working together.... appears you've got a nice setup though.

Looks like a little Defy Pain action going on, with Dolyak, and "Watch Yourself"... but I dunno... though if you didn't have the last two it would be awfuly hard to do the run.

Do you use a Sword or an Axe Djvandal?

One way to solo the Ice Beast is to stack as many conditions as your skill bar will allow - if you can get it bleeding before it throws its Mist spell (the name escapes me) up you can get it to bleed and loose HP while you can't deal direct damage to it.

I am tempted to bring disrupting chop on a run to see if I can A) make it through all of the imps with just 1 major damage attack b) disrupt that spell and then kill the beast with an axe and without any conditions...

Two Axe tanks can work through the Ice Beast pretty quick - this is a good way to get your additional armor infused too while doing something productive :P

btw.. someone posted a while back about the bleeding with the Ice Beast...

I prefer the +45 -2 stance shield as I run with my W/Me with ER always on when fighting

ive got both the shields loaded as weapon sets if i come across a siege i swap to the hex one but use the +45 / -2 one for regular farming

I just run the stance shield all the time (I have the hex shield too)... and the reason is I don't want to take the time to switch between shields when I can be stuck on the imp or golem that is causing the problem.

Personal preference though.

snipped useless images
Why are you even posting here? People like you are not needed nor wanted here, if you are not going to help others. Are you having fun stroking your e-peen or what?

to the OP. Thanks for posting this build, it is a challange when you first start it but works well Unfortunatly the drop rate of the IDS' seems pretty crappy. 16 runs and 1 sword.

What is the point is posting those screens if you are not gonna also post your build?

This is not WoW and e-peen stroking is not appreciated

Well, we can already see the mighty Mending in use.

I see an Imp bleeding, so Sever Artery obviously.

Defy Pain unquestionably, because of the increased health, and otherwise the loss of 40 armor from Elemental Resistance would eat him alive.

Dolyak and Watch Yourself, because armor is still imperative here.

Beyond that, Sprint of course, and a toss up for the other 2. Gash and either Heal Sig or Heal Breeze, I'd warrant. Probably Heal Sig, since Maelstrom will interrupt Breeze, and you can't be energy dependent with 1 pip of energy regen.

Not bad, Defy Pain is pretty easy to keep up, and permanent regen would offset the extra few points of damage from having 20 less armor. But I'd drop Mending and Use Watchful Spirit, which gives you +2 regen unconditionally. Putting 8 points in Healing is a waste. I'd put my Strength up to 15 so Dolyak is never down.

Hiding a build from people who design builds is a futile game, by the way.

Hmmm, might be time to look for a -2 enchanted / -3 hexed shield...

Pure warriors can solo this, so why do you feel the need to hide your build as if it's something special? It's not.

If a pure warrior build can solo it, then a W/Mo, W/Me, W/N, W/R, W/E, W/A, W/Ri can all solo it.

Hiding your build if you are doing something spectacular is not so bad, but hiding a build that accomplishes something that was accomplished 5 months ago is lame.

I just soloed my way to my first IDS today using a modification of the listed builds, and I wanted to say thanks to the guys that listed their builds.

I took the north run (easier to do than dealing with the giants). And if you are having problems with numbers, if you are patient, you can get the imps to come at you in smaller, more managable numbers.

If you are going the W/me route, put a few points into inspiration (so you don't have to activate elemental resistance so often) and you can also bring ether feast for a little extra self healing when the maelstroms are recycling.

Hadn`t visited this thread in a while so, before you guys get all over hyori finkl, let me interject a little something. I don`t know why he/she blanked out the build in the screen shots but I PMed he/she right after the post was made asking if I could get the build from him/her. Got a PM right back with the build/ IGN/ and an offer to personally show me how to do the build. So, before we go burning the person at the stake because they weigh the same as a duck, might we just ask for the build?
