Anybody know of any hard mode farming spots in Tyria? Preferably not 55 monk?

One problem:
Most people doing HM are doing the missions. It's unlikely to find people in towns saying they want to go off and do some HM killing.
...and even with the update today buffing henchies' armor and damage for HM, they STILL seem to crumble away before the enemies. I vanquished Griffon's Mouth, but at the end we were at 60DP and died after every 2 or so Ettins killed.

you dont need to take henchies with you. unless all you want is whites and gp drops. and there is literrally tons of spots and builds that can be used. pretty much look for farming builds here and u'll find one that works.
i have no problem with my 55 in most places farming in HM.

nahpui quarter HM - 55 n/mo either SS (ss, insidious, AtB) or SV - 6 gold celestial drops in an hour, particularly longbows, 4 dyes 3 non-elite scrolls 2 lockpicks. better drops and faster killing. I cba explain how to avoid nightmare weapon but it's not hard although it will kill u instantly if u get hit (-63). I was getting lots of junk as well - it was like old times, but better.
lvl 24 inferno imps - vig spirit triple chop w/mo - killed 20 and didn't see any sign of the mass charcoal drops I was hoping for (the ones near fishermans, not on the toa->desert run)
dragon moss south of anjekas - SoJ SoA monk - with the exception of 1 bad gold, just crap, and not even much crap. 1 blue per run would be common.
battle of turai's procession - splinter barrage rt/r - gave me the impression farming code is back in force. Had 8 golds in 1 run, mostly armours, a dry run, 6 golds in another run, and then 3 dry runs. 300x71+850 xp per run though

Thats because 55 benefits from the faster attacks. Its the other builds that will have problems.

No i was just saying i had no probs with my 55. But alot of the other builds still do work,.
the ele sliver build for example is still viable the war solo builds still are viable. nearly all the old builds are still good to go. which is where i said find a build in here and give it a whirl.

Loot Changes
Adjusted the following items so that they are now exempt from loot scaling:
Skill Tomes
Scrolls
Dye
Rare materials, such as Ectoplasm
Gemstones from the Domain of Anguish
All other rare (gold) items
All unique (green) items
Special event items

This means, when you flag henchies back for a green farm, you will get much better chances than if they were there. Also, dead sword solo farming, solo UW farming, and any other form of Rare item drop solos still are very effective and are actually MORE effective in Hard Mode!

It seems almost all HM farming builds around here are 55 Monk (don't have one and I am still waiting for the day they go extinct) and for Warriors (have a wammo, though ATM I'm focusing on my ranger doing most of the HM experience).

Switch to higher life when dealing with the ritualist birds, that's how I did it back in the day pre-HM.

I've been having quite a bit of luck vs melee enemies in HM with a Me/E.
Vs. Melee/Rangers:
Max out Domination (use runes and mask)
Max out Water magic
Spread the rest into Illusion (more) and Fast Casting (less).
Use a Wand and Focus that recharges your Water magic faster. Alternatively, use a Water staff with faster rechange AND +20% Enchantment length.
Use a full set of Enchanter's armor. Since you're not getting hurt with this build, a superior Fast Casting and Illusion rune are helpful as well.
Defensive:
Use Mist Form (Elite) + Arcane Echo to keep from ever being ever hit. (Don't attack!)
Offensive:
Empathy, Conjure Phantasms, Illusion of Pain, Shatter Delusions.
The last skill is up to you, although I recommend Glyph of Lesser Energy for energy management.
This works best in earlier areas where many enemy groups are ONLY ranged or melee.
Strategy: The most important thing to do is maintain Mist Form. Use Arcane Echo so that you'll always have it ready when the last one is about to run out. Pick your target, and hit him with Empathy, Conjure Phantasm and Illusion of Pain in that order, then Shatter Delusions when IoP is about to run out of juice. Maxed out Empathy does MASSIVE damage to enemies in Hard Mode, as they attack faster. In many areas you'll only need to run through those 4 skills once to kill the enemy. Be sure to maintain Empathy on your target at all times, and that you never Shatter it.
I cleared out all of the scorpions in Ascalon HM with this build, and it works well vs Minotaurs, Ettins, etc. The only danger with this build is aggroing groups so big that you eventually run out of enegy trying to maintain Mist Form. This only happens when you aggro groups of over 10 though.

The hulking stone elementals in old ascalon are pretty easy to farm with the vengeful build. Good exp and the drops ain't that bad. Got problems with the 2 bosses though.
Btw, can elona minos be done by a warrior?
