Default Is there some secret to D'Alessio Seaboard in Hardmode?

Seriously.I've attempt this mission at least 15 times now, each with a different build,Smiting,Wards,Spirits and all of them fail at the exact place every single time.At the fight at the Temple of Tolerance.

It's really starting to frustrate me.

Dont really understand how you can die there, did that mission with some decent players and me as the only monk. Didnt have a single death.

Perhaps use a MM to take pressure off you and the monks?

The thing that has been making me fail the mission is Dorrian dying. Being constantly crippled is really horrible when Dorrian's at half hp and being killed - -

Well,I finally completed it.

2 Whammos with Judges Insight For the win.Using Final Thrust on any undead monsters below 50% always resulted in death. It was truly awesome. And using Skills like Quivering Blade and Power Attack for a constant stream of 100+ and a Axe Whammo with Triple Chop and Cyclone Axe to take out large groups. It was pretty epic.

I really can't undestand how one completed this mission. In first 30secs, overwhelming amount of undead come and it is only matter of time when party wipes out. We tried like:

1 Tank
2 Sf
1 ss (tried 1mm too)
1 Zb/prot
1 LoD-healer

So tell me guys, how the hell did you manage it?

Take 2 55 monks with SoJ, and have them block the mobs, there is not enchant removal so they will not die.

Just take Holy Damage, either Smiting or Heart of Holy Flame.

It's the same problem I keep telling people again and again, damage prevention is superior to simple healing in Guildwars. Just have your necromancer cast enfeebling blood and the melees do 1/3 damage. Enough for every last damn bad healing monk to cope with and if elemental damage is overwhelming you (the few Earthquakes far and few inbetween) you can allways drop a ward against elements near Dorian, maybe have two of your party put a few points into Command to alternate Stand your ground 24/7.
Finally grab holy damage versus the undead, it's ridiculous how fast they die when every spell deals 100+ armor ignoring damage to them.

I agree that this mission is hard in HM (but I guess they all are right?). I usually don't play in groups of people, just play with a few friends and guildies. I'm trying to beat this mission with my friend (we're both eles trying to get the HM titles), and its proved to be pretty difficult at that area.

I like the idea of using Judges Insight to deal some holy damage. Also, the enfeebling blood idea works well. I think I'm worrying about my Monk Hero's skillbar too much. I've changed it almost everytime I've tried this mission. I guess thats not the problem.

Any duel ele ideas? (we've tried spamming blind, and ward against melee, but we get overwhelmed by poison, and earthquakes).

did you guys forget about Spirits and Traps? just surround Dorian with these and the undead will die easily. it's also helpful to bring holy damage, Dervishes work wonders here. you can also bring a
Paragorn for party support, and of course the usual curses Necro, SS->Reckless Haste->Enfeebling Blood does the trick...

Did it on my first shot and I was the tank. I bought some axe skills and Judges insight, we had a bonder, healer, interrupter ranger and a spirit rit. I could kill things faster than the monks could heal it, however that requires me not to be blinded by the damn sorcerers, however I did a reasonable job of tanking

Finally, after multiple tries, we did it so easily. I played a typical Healer's Boon healer. The trick was our bonder with Life Barrier and Life Bond. Earthquake would barely do any damage to us (except for knockdowns.. which can be horrible when chained on the bonder and me.) so after that all we needed was offense. We had a warrior (no tank, pure damage), 2 SF eles and a barrager with interrupts/daze to quickly kill the skeleton monks. No holy damage was needed at all. And a birthday cupcake helps when running to save Dorian. :P

It was way easier than my first few tries, you should try it. Though our bonder had to hold up 11 bonds (2 bonds on 5 people, + 1 on himself), which is kinda hard imo, but I've never bonded more than 8 bonds before.

Ok this mision is easy, all u need to understand is that the mobs in this mision
are undead and they do not like holy dmg very mouch(double dmg). At the part where Dorian is in trouble i went with a hero bonder used life barier and life bond on him+mending+life atunement ,i was smiter and a simple shied of el of judgement on dorian turned an entire undead army to dust realy quickly. So one factor to notice in this miison is to use holy dmg ,dervish using avatar of balthazar =good so are any melee class which can deal holy dmg.A smiter to the party can work wonders ex:judges insight on a barage ranger=devastation when used corectly.I used a personal farming build to do this mision did it in 1 man+3 heroes and bonus in hard mode.

splinter barage and splinter triple chop, cyclonaxe or hundred blades with holy dmg =ftw ,btw judges insight is a very good choice and i like it more over heart of holy flame because +20% armor penetration using that with sundering or penetrating atack(ranger)=40% armor penetration which hurts
careful with the blind condition here it can be a burden and not to mention there is no enchant removal here

For anyone who is haveing trouble with gates or kryta and the part with keeping hablion alive while he charges in to mobs here is a trick:there is another path which can be taken that leds past hablion so practicaly u dont even meet him so all u have to do now is kil all mobs and the onse from the swamp to get mision completed
