So here we discuss about Platinum Staffs and Platinum Wands, how to farm them, where, etc. Remind these are Cantha only items so these do NOT drop in Elona or Tyria, and at least I haven't heard that anyone had one from HA chest.

If you have got one of these items as a drop, please tell us, where it did drop which creature did drop it or from what chest you got it.

According to wiki, P-staffs do drop from Luxon chests in Jade Sea, Kurzick chests at Drazach Thicket and from Jade Brotherwood enemies at Kaineng City, can anymore proove that? Or does someone have some extra information or unknown facts about these staffs?
Example do these very very rare staffs drop from some other chests in Cantha or ONLY from those ones that were mentioned above? After the HM update those should become slightly more common then they used to, at least that is what I think.
Any good chestrunning tips for Drazach Thicket if you are doing it on HM? Any good solo farming tips for killing those Jade Brotherwood creeps?

I have tried to chestrun some Luxon chests at Jade sea but no Platinum Staffs this far.

According to wiki, P-wands drop from Shiro'ken warriors and Sin Jea island's Yetis. Does anyone know if these wands can drop from any chests and where?
Do only Shiro'ken warriors drop these wands or do the other shiro'ken creatures drop these? Any proofs?
Do these wands drop from any chests in Cantha? If they do, where?

So any help would be appreciated and screenshots are always +++.

No love for the Platinum blade!? There is a reason they are RARE... The platinum skin family doesnt drop very often, I only occasionally got a wand while farming shiroken.

Am Fah also drop Platinum stuff, dont know if it is mentioned on wiki. I had one in the early weeks of factions, gold req 9 air 10/10 one, think i deleted it on accident. But Am Fah drop them.

I got a platinum wand from a raisu palace chest..
I've never seen them drop anywhere else.. I thought they were a raisu palace/shiroken only skin..

I just got platinum wand from Raisu Palace chest, I was running on HM tho (+ the wand was bad >_>) Gotta chestrun more ^^

I agree with last poster Hard mode=Win, but back on topic. Platinum staffs/wands do drop in Jade sea, only problem is ive opened around 4k chests in jade sea and only found maybe 20-30 Platinum weps. I got lucky this weekend with a 15^50 Platinum Bow and a nice Platinum staff i sold for 52 ectos

dragon moss, kappa, kirin/undergrowths and the dragons on jade sea drop them. also my e/mo buiild works in hard mode

if i remember coorectly, the question would be, what does NOT drop them, almsot every creature in Cantha can drop platinum stuff. It's like a chapter wide drop.

Anyone found any platinum wands/staffs from Sin Jea Island on HM chests?

I found 1 more plat wand from HM chest in Raisu Palace, looks like that place is a "good" place to chestrun them

I got a platinum blade (req 9 max, while hexed mod, junk, went to merchant)from a Locked chest in Hard Mode in Nahpui Quarter Explorable (It was in an area that was surrounded by AmFah).

Jade Brotherhood also drop platinum wands. I used to farm Jade Brotherhood in Wajjun Bazaar and had 2 Platinum Wands drop from them, both from knights, oddly both mesmer attributes. One Domination and one Illusion wand. Unfortunately most golds dropped in the Bazaar tend not to be max damage.

Some months back (NM, obviously) I got a gold Platinum Staff (Communing) in the Maishang Hills... I believe it dropped from an Island Guardian...

I was actually considering merching it (like I do with most golds) until I saw how delightfully pretty it was... ^_^ ... Decided to keep it for my ritualist...

Speaking of which.... then there are the Kaolin staves, which all have the Platinum skin in different colours. I mean everyone here knows this already, but I figured I'd mention it.
I'd strongly recommend that anyone going for a Platinum Staff for Water Elementalism, Domination Magic, Protection Magic or Curses (I think it was) just try farming the Constructs instead of searching for raw Plat Staves. The odds of getting one are miles higher...
I had the uncanny fortune of getting both the Kaolin Water Staff and Kaolin Domination Staff the second time I fought through the quarter... WITH a full party of heroes and henchies. I still have both of them to this day... unpersonalised. I've never had another Kaolin Staff since....
So effectively, I've had 3 Platinum Staves.... sort of...

But yeah...
Maishang Hills CAN drop them... but I've only ever had one once... and I've been through Maishang Hills a hell of a lot (I was Luxon faction farming).
