Because absorption is global and it doesn't matter where you put it (once I get a sup. absorp, i will be sure to socket it anywhere BUT the gloves.)

Actually absorbtion runes do best on the chest because the way you get hit is : Most on chest, then next most on legs, and finally least on feet and hands. The chest therefore is the best place to recieve the damage reduction.

If that was true then you're bteer off using 5 super absorb runes.
Afaik, the rune effect is global.
I personally put it in the chest area anyway in case this gets nerfed =D

It isn't going to get nerfed. It's working as intended. Absorbtion runes and Knight's/Ascalon armor's damage reduction is GLOBAL.

Dark Knight Troll Farmer
OK, since some issue with my login has finally been cleared up after months and a long time lurker can make his first post....
I don't understand why everyone is so big on wammos for the troll farm. A Dark Knight (W/N) can kill this group almost as fast as a 55 SoJing monk with Spiteful Spirit. Certainly in one minute less than every glad's defense build I've seen, and that's with riposte.
Here's my build:
W/N
Curses 12
Strength 10+, depends how many superior runes you like.
Axe 9 (simply to meet min req for my axe)
Tactics 9
Gear is a zealous axe, and a -2 while stanced shield, as well as one piece of knights/ascalon. The other equipment choices don't matter a whole lot.
1. Dolyak Signet
2. "Watch Yourself!"
3. Cyclone Axe
4. Bonetti's Defense
5. Healing Signet
6. {E} Spiteful Spirit
7. Disciplined Stance
8. Shield Stance
That's right... no sprint, it isn't needed to get past 99% of the spawns. It does slow you down slightly getting there, but the kill speed on the trolls and the extra protection from disrupting chop is worth it. Just keep running past the avicara patrols, they will chip your life away as they give chase but you can always lose them by the time you get deep into the cave. You can afford to start the troll fight with less than 100% HP as well.
Anyway, here's the drill:
1) Wake up however many trolls you feel you can handle.
2) Press C to target the closest one, cast Spiteful on it.
3) TAB to switch to next target, then SPACE to start attacking it.
4) Activate Disciplined Stance and Dolyak Signet when a fair number get in melee range
5) Once you get 5 mana from the zealous axe, do a cyclone.
6) Wait until Disciplined Stance wears off. You can use healing sig in the meantime if you need.
7) Activate Bonettis, TAB to switch target, cast Spiteful again.
8) Then throw watch yourself, cyclone axe, and bonettis in quick succession. You can usually hit the key for bonettis a bit before cyclone axe finishes, to account for server lag.
8) TAB to switch target, so you aren't hitting the guy you just SS'd, and SPACE to attack. Use healing signet as needed.
9) Repeat 8, and then follow it with a TAB to switch targets and spiteful again.
10) Shield stance and cylone/heal sig as you like, the trolls will all die soon.
Trolls will generally kill themselves after 3 casts of spiteful spirit. The target switching is important so you don't kill the cursed trolls too early, then they can continue to damage their nearby comrades. Shield Stance is your "emergency" card, it doesent happen often but if a troll manages to disrupting chop healing signet or cyclone axe, you can be in trouble, or if you get a spawn with too many trolls. Shield stance lasts long enough for disrupting chop's effect to wear off, plus the trolls are generally dead from SS by that time anyway. Your main damage here is from SS, not cyclone axe. As such, its important to throw healing sigs while waiting on SS to recharge rather than cyclone spam, since trolls will waste disrupting chops trying to hit through your bonettis.
This build does take a little more skill to play than your Wammo farm build, but its not that difficult, and vastly more efficient. Works on any very large groups of melee enemies, for example minotaurs in Elona's. I also used to use this just as easily on the griffons before they were nerfed, there are still Dark Knight builds that can take griffons but a riposte-based build is more efficent there since you can't herd them into such large groups anymore.

In addition, relying only on Glads or Cyclone to kill is very long. I find The riposte/deadly riposte build a lot quicker, especially if mixed with Glads.

WHAT?
This build is GREAT, SAFE, and very commonly used!
I used it, his guide is amazing, everything is right. Other builds don't get much faster at all. Only thing I would say is add mending and drop def stance but meh, that's me.
Interuption chances are REALLY low. 75% chance to miss hitting you ALL the time.
A boost from doylak!?!?! I did it with a FOCUS ITEM on my warrior fine, health not dipping at all.
The safety of this build is great, the w/mo riposte thingy is too complicated: I tryed it, it didn't work so well.

I personally use sup str, sup tactics and sup axe, then got attributes like: 16 axe, 8 healing, 10 str and tactics, guess it would work better with higher tactics (I 55 them nowadays) and then skills like: cyclone, dolyak sig, gladz defense, bonettis defense, vig spirit, balth spirit, life vicar, sprint
probably somewhat to defensive, but with 296hp its needed... =0

I got a max fellbalde 15^50 +29 HP from trolls just before Factions came out. Also built a pefect Vampiric Axe +30 HP from the parts trolls dropped. Trolls are great for skill points though. If you shell out 800 to 1k for Berserker's Insight, every two runs you can gain a skill point.

drops could be worse...
in my time farming here, i've accumulated over 400k from here.. 200k of those were from 20/20 sundering sword hilts, and a bit more from a max dam icy great axe, 15^50 and armor +7, but the drops arent too bad at all. 1 in 5 runs should produce a gold, and generally speaking, they're pretty good golds at that.. anyone wanting quick cash and the excitement of finding great loot should be doing this hehe ^^
