why wouldnt you go in W/N alone? the grenths build is more than enough to farm footprint...i made a couple 100k off of footprint farming, and its just not that hard

?
You might need to clarify, because my W/N specializes in axe mastery, and I don't have any skills available that would keep him ALIVE, much less enable him to farm without at least a healer hench.

Grenths Balance. Keeps you alive just fine. There should be a submission in the Warrior Farming Build Thread.

It would sound like you aren't at a stage in the game where you might want to start farming anyway. I'd say listen to soticot's advice and finish the game first, then develop you're character a bit then start farming.
As far as the topic goes, no it isnt, lots of nice drops these days. I never used to be a chest kind of person but now in hard mode they near enough pay for themselves every time. Kas has a point mind.

What the hell are you people talking about? SOLO FARMING IS DEAD!
I took my monk to saint anjecka's to farm dragon mosses... Those of you who know this farm from the past know that there was always a good chance to gt at least some crappy whites since theres so much stuff to kill... Well I didnt get squat.. I tried again and again... It's DEAD.. All I get is like 1 dragon root, and a crappy whit after killing like 25 dragons! If that doesnt say solo farming is dead, I dont know what does...
I tried the green bosses too.... Mostly the scar eater.. He drops NOTHING 9 times out of 10... After killing him 20 times I got 1 scar eater. And yes, that is on hard mode!

#3. Dependant on your choice of Kurzick or Luxon... go either to Mourning Veil Falls or Rhea's Crater with Ritualist secondary and a Signet of Capture.... find the relevant Ritualist Boss ... kill them and take Vengeful Was Kanhei.
#4. Go through the rest of Factions to complete it.
#5. Go back to Prophecies and complete that.
#6. Go through Nightfall if you so wish.
#7. Get a bit of practice with the W/Rt VwK build... then go farm Dead Swords with it... or whatever else you can.

Or just go to the Great Temple of Balthazar after you've ascended/did sunspear sanctuary missions, change your 2nd profession to /Rit and buy an elite ritualist tome.

Solo farming in terms of getting quick plat is dead.
Solo farming for rare drops and sell it to the player market is still out there.
People wanted the first one for convenience.
The latter one is for people who had patience to haggle.
Rare drops now though are becoming more common. Once the market saturates because of HM, I wonder what will be left to sell.

To a non-farmer who hasn't even completed the necessary campaigns yet... an Elite Ritualist Tome costs a bomb.
Oddly enough I'm trying to farm them right now and getting heaps of... NOTHING. I've killed Chkkr Brightclaw over 20 times in a row now in Hard Mode and got nothing better than a Scroll of Adventurer's Insight. I haven't even had any blues aside from that. Perhaps farming is dead afterall.... at least for me... ¬_¬ .. I got the same deal from Byzzr as well.

Which just brings up back to the point that solo farming is not dead for farmers, solo farming is harder for people who farmed to get the gold to do variety of other things.

Ok.... That made no sence whatsoever.
So, if I understand you correctly, you are saying that farmers dont want to do a "variety of things" with their gold?

No more garbage picking for platinum. This is the main cause everything was so expensive.
They eliminated the garbage, give everyone more rares, rare materials, eliminated the AoE flee on normal mode, and made most rare skins that went for 500k+ easily obtainable for anyone with a little bit of patience, yet people are still crying about the loot update. Makes absolutely no sense to me that people are so worked up about not being able to pickup all those non-max white/blue items and collector drops.
Trust me I'd be one of the first people to leave GW's if they killed farming, I'm still here and loving it.

Do you even read these forums or just post random crap? Find Witte's GB solo build and use it. As for Grenth's footprint, you can solo that without any healing skills. Just get the dwarf to follow you around and heal you.

Hmm.. thats wierd cause I just did a few runs of mosses and another place and made 30k in an hour... perhaps im just lucky.
Basically when it comes down to it, Soloing in Hard Mode is decent and yields similar drops to the "old GW solos" while Normal Mode gives you 1/8th the amount of drops.
and Soto, im interested in how you farm a ritualist boss. I think i'm going to start collecting those Tomes, as well as Monk. Those are crazy expensive at the moment.

Meh. Only place I can solo farm easily is Anvil Rock...cleared that whole area with just my W/E...came out of it with a quick platinum in cash, BEFORE I sold off everything.

I'm not going to say you should change your farming character, Absolute Destiny. But you really should gain access to hard mode and try farming more than one area. Expand out and look around on guru for warrior builds suitable for HM or make your own.
As for those of you that complain about farming being dead for "you", I suggest you don't solo farm whites and blues. Go with a party if you want to farm that stuff. Heck, they've made it to where in some places you could get a party of eight and let your henchies and heroes do all the work. This definately is not what I would do nor would it be fun, but its possible.

Yea, keep thinking that while we go make new builds and find new spots to farm. Since farming the exact same spot as everyone else obviously yields the rarest loot.
