Does this build have any merit...?
Okay, here's a build I designed for my Sniper Ranger off information from Guild Wiki:
Generic Joke, lvl 20 R/A
Expertise 12+3
Marksmanship 12
Shadow Arts 4
Armor is Druids for extra energy with runes of attunment on it. My bow is Chkkr's, so it's Zealous.
1 - Way of the Fox (For becoming unblockable) 5 energy
2 - Lightning Reflexes (For refiring rate increase) 10 energy
3 - Read the Wind (For accuracy in arrow speed) 5 energy
4 - Screaming Shot (For bleeding damage) 10 energy
5 - Determined Shot (For low energy arrow) 5 energy
6 - [Elite] Poison Arrow (For Poison) 5 energy
7 - Savage Shot (For interupt) 10 energy
8 - Shadow Refuge (For healing, duh) 5 energy
I'm a little uneasy about the Determined shot due to the fact that all it has is increased damage, but it'll do unless you guys have more suggestions.
I currently own Prophecies and Factions and am longing for Nightfall... *sigh*
Give me some suggestions, people!

Personally I like Burning Shot (NF) combined with Apply Poison. Maxes out degen, combined with something like Epidemic to spread the conditions...and you can quickly have a large group of enemies that are max degening. I would personally drop the sin skills you have, I see them as unnecessary and possibly detrimental to the build as a whole. Blocking hasn't ever been that big a deal imho, and you can always use Troll Ungent for healing, and not have to spec high into another attribute line.
Zealous bows generally don't generate any sort of energy advantage, and you shouldnt' be having energy issues with your Ranger. Unless you're spamming barrage on large groups of enemies I would drop the zealous bow in favor of something more effective. I usually keep a poisonous, dazed, vamp, and crip bow on hand. Then again I just like collecting bows -_-;;

Well to start with Poison Arrow is a Wilderness Survival attribute skill. You show no points in WS, so I suggest a Poison bow string over the Zealous.
Also you should be just fine on energy and I would suggest Marks at 12+3 and the Exp at 12. This will improve Read the ind as well as Screaming shot and Savage shot. Only down side being shortening Lightning Reflexes.
Other than that be sure to "tab" through tagets and poison/bleed as many enimies as possible and this could be a good support build.

he doesn't have NF for now though. :P
afaik Chkkrs was a flatbow, wasn't it? you won't want a flatbow for that build, due to the high arc.
spamming poison arrow is good, but since you don't have NF for [skill]Barbed Arrows[/skill], forget about it.
way of the fox has a pretty long recharge with a not so good outcome.
you havn't listed any WS, and poison arrow is WS linked, your poison will not last long enough to deal damage.
dunno really, just work around a bit considering this stuff.

Chkkrs is a flatbow, but the OP has RtW in his build, which is a wise decision when using a flatbow. However, switching to a good recurve or longbow in order to use another prep may be a better direction to follow...
