Mo/E Renewal Healer
Hello First of all, this build is for PvE. Idea of using GoR and Divine Spirit popped into my head when I was trying to sleep lol
Skills
1. Glyph of Renewal
2. Divine Spirit
3. Orison of Healing
4. Words of Comfort
5. Dwayna's Kiss
6. Jamei's Gaze (or Heal Other)
7. Healing Touch (Self Heal)
8. Blank (Rez or something...)
Attributes
Healing 16 (12+3+1)
Divine Favor 14 (12+2)
Equipment... well, anything goes. 20% Longer enchantments preferred.
The thing is to cast Glyph of Renewal and then Divine Spirit before fight, when GoR has recharged, cast it again and then Divine Spirit.. And so on..
When spamming skills like Orison of Healing (yay!!) you have almost infinite energy.
Go have fun and amaze your teammates with your (almost) infite energypool!

this build is really really old. and it ain't the best version i've seen, either.
some problems:
you have FIVE heals.
you lack protection.
you don't carry condition removal.
you don't carry hex removal.
you run a sup rune and a major rune.
i'd suggest taking either prot spirit or spirit bond for Orison. then reversal for healing touch. then Dwaynas out, and depending on the area, Holy Veil (or smite hex if you are lazy, doesn't need points in smite) or Dismiss Condition in.
use all minors only, or maybe a major divine if anything. not more.

What's the big deal here? It doesn't lover your health so much, and you can use minor Divine Favor if you want to (or Major Healing)

you probably never encountered it because this build is very rare. even I've never seen it used. I tried using it before but it took a little bit too much constant work than i was used to.
heres a tip though: if you stick to 5 cost spells then the energy saved might allow you to use divine boon to strengthen them.

i've been playing for a year and im 100% sure i've seen it posted on here before, and also on wiki.
and of course you can, but why use bad skills when you can make it a lot better?

i was mainly referring to the rez -- seeing how many PvE monks carry it, i assume you do too. so well, that's a slight bonus then to have both hex and condition removal at least.
and the big deal about monks having lower health..it sucks. lol. the difference is not THAT big, and the health IS that big. it's plain idiotic to run with low health, i don't even dare to run a single superior.

Healing sucks. bad. The only viable 'pure healer' build is the Healer's Boon monk (though they still carry hex and condi removal). LoD is a good one as well, but nowhere near 'pure healer' as it generally only has 3 heals, LoD included. 90% of all monks in pvp is prot for a reason.
And yes, this build is very, very old, and it's rarely used. You know why? because even if you have unlimited energy, healing pretty much sucks.

This build idea is really old. I don't think it is horrible though. Not a lot of people use it because it takes a lot of work to get the same results as other builds that are much easier to use. IMO, you really should have cond/hex removal rather than 935 heal spells. It doesn't really help you to have a medium heal short recharge spell (Orison), a medium heal (medium+ if conditions met) medium recharge spell (words of comfort), a small heal (large if conditions met) medium/shorrt recharge spell (dwayna's), and a big heal medium/short recharge spell (Jamei's/heal other). You have so much overlap that you can't possibly use all the spells efficiently that you brougt.
Why not instead, assuming you want to stay completly/nearly pure heal, bring
Jamei's Gaze
Heal Other so that you can alternate them (after all they only cost 5 energy each and there is only 2 seconds that you can't use either)
heal touch (I know lots of people dont like this one, but if you don't have anything else that self targets...)
Mend Condition
Holy Veil (smite hex for the lazy).
Or you could do the same thing but use full prot instead and run it with divine boon (not sure if it would work well or not) so your prots give decent heals as well.
Oh, and you will definately need a res if you run a pure heal build. No question about it.

Ok...quick thing:
GoR + Divine Spirit is (as others have posted) insanely old... it's also very rare to encounter.
To date, I have seen 0 monks in PvE with this combo, and maybe 2 in pvp, and I've been playing since release.
On to the build:
1.) You have no condition removal (a must)
2.) You have no hex removal (another must)
3.) You have too many heals (you don't need 5, 3 is usually fine)
4.) You have no protection spells
5.) Sup + Major Rune = >100hp lost in runes. Very bad... In PvP, use a minor rune, or a major if you absolutely "life-and-death" have to, in PvE, 1 major or 1 sup is enough.
6.) You need a renewable res.
Just a few more parting bits of wisdom though- Most of these builds (when they were posted) used Blessed Aura to enhance the duration of Divine Spirit, something you might want to consider. Also, the build is vulnerable to interrupts (if your glyph or DS get interrupted, it's over).
The reason you don't see these builds, as Thomas said, is that healing pretty much sucks. Prot is everything, you can heal all day long and still die, but you can Prot and reduce that damage to the point at which you can temporarily overcome it. That lets your team kill the thing and move on.
Oh well...good luck, but always have a res if you're in PvE.
