oh, right! of course...IAS does make a difference.

Thanks for clarifying that for me

Your energy regeneration is a bit better while using zealous, but the real kicker is when you are using an IaS. While using RaO you attack once every 1.17 seconds. In three seconds you can complete two complete attacks, and recover two energy from your natural energy regeneration. That means you have at least 4 energy pips while using an IAS.

If we look at it over 10 seconds:

Without the IAS you get 5 full attacks. Over 10 seconds you also regen six (almost seven) energy from regen. For a total of 11 (it's actually a little bit more, but I cut off the decimals) energy compared to the 10 energy you would regenerate without the zealous mod.

Under an IAS:

You will get 8 full attacks, and regen six energy for a total of 14 (for all intents and purposes it's actually 15) energy instead of the usual 10.

So it's always at least a little better than natural energy regen, but in the context of what you would be using it with, you're gaining half again the energy you would gain without it.

I've been using a nice Thumper build for AB for ages now, and its fun for PvE as a heavy damage dealer.

Personally I don't see why you would want to use RaO (yes I admit its a good skill) as Enraged Lunge packs such a punch if you run a build with more BM skills, with enough recharging skills, and a critical hit (yes its rare but it happens, usually get an enraged critical every 1 or 2 matches) I've seen Spid (my pet lol) hit some poor elementalist for 261 damage

This Is my usual AB Thumper build:

R/W
Armor: Full Druids + Tamers Mask
Runes: Sup. Vigor, Sup. Beast Mastery, Minor Expertise, 2 Vitae
Weapons: The Ice Breaker (good enough for me)

Attributes:
Hammer Mastery: 3
Expertise: 12+1
Beast Mastery: 12+4

Skills:
Predatory Bond
Poisonous Bite
Predators Pounce [Can Switch for Res Sig]
Brutal Strike
Enraged Lunge [E]
Hammer Bash
Charm Animal
Revive Animal

--

Predators Pounce works better than charm animal for me in AB and a 95% Revive is very handy.

Brutal hits for over 70 damage, and Enraged Easily goes over 100 (base attack + the 80 bonus) any person with no defences who doesn't kite will go down in seconds.

The short recharge and low energy costs mean even with high defences If you've got a monk behind you you can slug it out against almost anything (Except maybe the strongest ele tanks, enraged will still hit them for over 60-70 damage but you can't keep it up for long enough)

I've looked at all the new Nightfall Skills and honestly I cant see something that I'd want to switch out

If you're worried about kiting you can switch Poisonous Bite for Call of Haste, and Predatory Bond for Maiming Strike - But I honestly don't get much kiting in AB or PvE

--

Still I'm sure you'll find something to complain about with my build

Hammer rangers were named 'bunny thumpers' because of the way they seem to hop around when they walk with a hammer. I've always known 'bunny thumper' and 'thumper' to be interchangeable. I'm sure there are some people out there that put specific meanings behind each term, but the vast majority I have encountered have not.

The wiki said they were called bunny thumpers because:

Bunny because of the pet.
Thumper because of the noise certain hammer attacks make.

^Wiki's wrong. Bunny because of how they run when holding a hammer, and the fact that they 'hop' when they use certain hammer skills, and thumper because of the sound. Has nothing at all to do with the pet.

Oh.When my Ranger uses a hammer she looks a lot like Devona when swinging a hammer around and even look it when healing with troll urgent and I have noticed the same when a Warrior use a bow. They both looks a like when useing the a the opposite weapons.I use counter blow,Irresistible blow, devastating hammer along with apply poison.I don't use a pet.

A Warrior and a Ranger look the same to me atleast females do not sure about males.

Females, certainly. I think there are even a couple of hairstyles they have in common - or, at least, VERY similar.

Males... no. Male Warriors definitely have a heavier build than the Rangers.
