Question All this stuff about Colossal Scimitars and Corsairs... etc.

But where exactly ARE they?

I'm rather confused as I keep hearing Zehlon Reach being mumbled about.... but not only am I firstly unsure which route into Zehlon Reach should be taken (from The Astralarium or Jokanur Diggings)... but when I went in through normal mode to get a feel for the lay of the land.... I barely saw any Corsairs at all... and the area near the beginning on either side was swamped with insects and skale.

I tried looking through that other colossal scimitar thread but it is absolutely epic in length by now, and I couldn't determine any more on the location matter than that it might be Zehlon Reach... -_-;

Just what is going on?

Could someone provide an image demonstrating exactly where people are farming these scimitars?

You can farm them in the Moddock mission. Just flag dunk back so his name is grey then follow the guy. The other place is outside the Astralarium as soon as you exit go straight not right and you will see corsair. Keep walking up until the insects lose aggro and there will be 3 more corsair at the wall. then kill them.

Astralium (sp?) into Zehlon Reach

Take the path to the left after you enchant up. Just past the bugs you can't miss them...

Speaking of not being able to miss them....did you even try to find them? It's like 10 seconds from the zone portal?!?!?

WTF Over?

theres a quest which will change those 3-4 corsair grops for some Blessed Griffons. I believe its some Sousuke (spelling..) quest. drop it and ull see them, as levi said, just exit into Zehlon reach from Astralarium, and walk a bit down to the left path.

this is also written in the larger thread

o_0; ... Blimey.... so they are...

As for how I missed them... I went out from the Astralasium initially... turned right and followed the coast around the entire area until I got to the entrance to the Cliffs in the southeast.... and gave up there.
They happened to be in the tiny little area I didn't check... =P

That is how.
That and the fact they aren't close enough to the beginning to show up with the Ctrl button. ^_^;;

... Seems the bugs can be killed too... except for the monk ones. The monk bugs are nigh-on-invulnerable... o_0;

Unless there is anywhere else better than this, I suppose this thread can be closed now.... [unless anyone else needs a reference to their location]...

If i were you i wouldnt take the trouble to farm them, unless you want one for yourself.

req9's have dropped from 100k+ 90-100e material, to about 100k now.

There is an obvious givaway in where to find them, zone to Astralitariun (spelling!?!) eu1 or yankee1 and spot how many Mo/D's there are.

I would suggest you use the same build and go to Visunah Foreign and nail all the jade hood outside of there and take their golds instead.

Umm. I'm just curious. Why do you insist on posting your own special thread on this when there is a HUGE thread on this. But beyond that, i cannot fathom why you feel the need to post your own thread even AFTER you posted in the other main Colossal Scimitar farming thread, meaning you very well knew exactly where to go for all this information!

All the following comes from the MAIN Zehlon farming thread that contains numerous build/map/info about the run:: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10131457

Sorry, but psychology minor. So this kinda thing fascinates me. lol
cheers.

EDIT: Just in case the run info still isnt clear for other folks...
