Any perfect blue weapon is a collectors, and is ussually an ugly skin. Gold has the best stats, and can ahve any skin. Purple is just a crappy version of gold.

when a blue sword drops, it has less chance to have perfect mods on them
e.g 20% enchanting, 15>50

Also, when you don't meet the requirement, white, blue, and green items revert to the starter stats while gold and purple items revert to a value a bit higher than starter stats (though still quite pathetic).
It's only worth paying attention to if you're using a shield on your caster in its energy neutral/ negative energy slot.

Not less chance, zero chance. Blue drops have the lowest range of stats, for example 11>50 or +20 hp. Purples are slightly better, up to 12>50 and +24 hp, but they still are nowhere near max. Golds can range from 13>50 and +25 hp up to 15>50 and +30 hp. All mods with a number associated with them work the same way; you'll never find a 3:1 vampiric on a purple sword.

a blue weapon and a gold weapon with exactly the same stats will do the same damage. only difference would be the skin
I find collector weapons to be good enough for me

Weapon color just indicates how much the item will sell to the merchant for and the probability of getting the best mods. You rarely if ever get top end mods when you identify blue items. However a 15>50% weapon does the same damage no matter if it is blue, purple, or gold. Once the weapon is identified color doesn't matter one bit.

the difference in colored weapons
Although theres no difference in the proformance of the weapon between the different colors a white mx dmg sword req 8 dmg+15% is the same dmg as a gold one. The only difference is the price. the white sword would sell for 2K and the gold sword would sell for 50K
White items least expensive
Blue items a little more
Purple items more exp than blue
Gold items are rare drops they cost the most
Now as for the New green items the prices are crazy
Actually you can find better collocters items better than the green items
the Color of items is nothing more than a Status Symbol.

Except you can never find a white max damage sword with Damage +15%, because whites don't have damage mods. White, blue, and purple dropped items are all crap. Only gold drops, blue collectors/crafters, and greens can have max stats, which is why those generally command the highest prices (with the exception of collectors and crafters because they're available to everyone.)
In terms of prices, rares>greens, both in selling to the merchant and to other people. You don't have the option of changing the mods on green items, and green items are badly overfarmed.

I'm pretty sure you can get max dmg 15% weapons that are blue. I have one sword that's 15^50 but just below max dmg (15-21), so I'm pretty sure it's possible.

I specifically noted a difference between blue dropped items, which have the worst stats available, and blue crafters and collectors, which have either perfect or nonstandard mods. The only exception is the Icy Dragon Sword, which although it is a drop always comes as req. 9 15>50, like the collectors.

It was a dropped item. There is no 15-21 15^50 collector sword.
My point was that it may be possible for blue drops to have some max stats, although they aren't going to be perfect in every way. It's false to say that blue drops cannot have any perfect stats on them.

oh..I could've sworn I was mad because I didn't get a good mod off a blue weapon before...maybe it was zealous or something

Zealous can be on any weapon; I've salvaged it from blues before. I guess since there's only one Zealous stat (1/1), it's pretty much impossible to NOT get a perfect zealous mod on a blue weapon.

Noobs pay more for green/gold even if they have far inferior stats. Other than that, no differences. Collector items ftw.

I have a collector's Axe (blue) and it's as good as a green Axe I've seen on eBay. The skin was normal, at least it's different than the PvP axe skin. That thing is ugly IMO.
I'm not too big on the demonic and necro looking weaponry/armor for warriors. I have a W/Mo who has the Knights Chest and everything else platemail and all of it is silver, so I like being the 'White Knight'.
For my Necro, though whenever I play him as a Necro/Warrior I love using my SKull Shield and Fiery Fellblade.
But yeah blue usually sucks, purple is a gold wannabe, gold is usually good, and I guess green just pwns. However, Blue is different. You can get a blue drop which will generally suck, or a Blue from a collector, which is usually the same as a standard PvP weapon/shield/artifact.
