^ Agreed. However, I do find using those big exhaust guns annoying, and generally fall back into a more comfortable (at least for me), non-exhausting role with Ether Prodigy. IMO, Ether Prodigy is the only reason why I'm a main Elementalist.

Energy Management?
Sure, double Attunement can be sweet in PvE. And Ether Prodigy rocks for those PvP builds that don't add much further exhaustion.Unfortunately, Gale, Obsidian Flame, Earthquake, etc. all add to exhaustion. Those are key spells for PvP, and can inevitably add up to a big grey hole in your energy bar.
Glyph of Energy, and selective casting is by far my most frequent ele strategy these days.

I usually only either use Gale or Obsidian flame; I don't touch EQ in PvP.

We use both Gale and Ob Flame in our guild's GvG build for the ele. Both come in handy.
In HoH our warder-ele takes Ob Flame along with the Earthquake-Aftershock combo for spiking.

I have no idea bout HA, but I rarely use both Air and Earth for a GvG runner. Your case seems to be singular (to me) (perhaps it's not a runner), and Glyph of Energy does seem suitable.

what about earth and healing prayers? E/Mo is a good build seen rather widely in GvG for its heal party spammage; then drop wards as your prot spells with some good armor ignoring Obsidian Flames to make everything cry

But surely in GvG the eles role is changed slightly.
I remember in HoH once when i was playing Air Spiker, we had a huge 10 minutes brawl and by the end of it my max energy due to exhaustion was 3... seriously without the energy storage i would've been disabled long before. It makes bringing those skills into other classes even more impossible too.
Without a doubt though Energy Storage is the least useful of the primary stats (except fast casting vs PvE mesmers that interrupt interrupts...)

At least ES has Prodigy.
Strength is, hands down, the worst.

Hmm good point. I've never been a huge fan of strength. I just use it because it obviously boosts your damage.
Prodigy is a fun skill to use, wish they'd get rid of the 'Removes enchantments' AND/OR 'Exhaustion'. The 2 damage for every point left i can handle, just gives me more reason to spam horribly
