Im looking for any help on what would be a good damage dealing second profession to combine with an elementalist.

Having not been a necromancer or mesmer before an this being my first elementalist im not too sure what would be good together.

if this is for pve and you want to do damage, scratch the ele and run a necro/mesmer with spiteful spirit. watch alll the pretty yellow numbers.

if you must have an ele, ele/mesmer wouldn't be a terrible choice. not so much for damage though but to get back some energy. ele/necro could be useful as well.

you can do any number of different things. and you can always change your secondary later in the game.

Necros seems best earlier in the game but mesmers is definitely best Desert plus for energy regain or simple damage..

Do your damage as an elementalist. Use your secondary profession for other things.

/Me is great very early on for Ether Feast, and a little later on for Arcane Echo. By the time those are both useless, you're pretty close to point in the game at which you have access to all the different secondary professions anyway. Ele/Me is also a super-easy combo to beat the Doppleganger with (max Domination, min Water Magic, and just bring the two spells Empathy and Ice Spear).

But always use Ether Prodigy.

I would have added Mantra of Recall to the list of useful /Me spells, but I didn't remember where in the game one gets it.

Facet of Chaos in the Dragon's Lair mission. That being said, Ether Prodigy is a superior elite energy skill.

Oops. I meant Mantra of RESOLVE. Even post-nerf. Or Mantra of Concentration.
