Im thinking of doing this build , but wouldnt it be better if I changed watchfull spirit for live vicarously ?
It will heal me more than a +2 regen I would say .
Besides that , it looks perfect for the solo farming to me.

To be honest with you, I ran this build for about 3 days straight. You need that regen to negate the poison effect. If you run +8 Healing Spells, it also adds on one more regen so that you can actually going against the effects. If you want to use something to go along with your Barrage, Vigorous Spirit is a good idea--but for the purposes of farming, it's not work the second you'll be wasting casting it.

I have tried it and have to agree. The constant +5 regen from watchful spirit and mending does wonders for the constant poison. The antidote signet is primarily for blind. The sorcerors keep you blinded and the signet allows you to get a few shots at them. Those few shots should be filled with judge's insight power to kill them quickly. The skeletons use apply poison so every shot renews the poison on you. The signet does not help much there. You still need to keep trolls going fairly reguarly.
Sometimes I keep one of the cadaver guys around ( with the dreaded skill: Nibble) to give me constant energy while I slaughter its masters. lol!

Ive been thinking about the build , and honestly whirling defense + balthazars spirit???? Wtf .. that doesnt go together , and also I think mending + live vicariously + vigorous spirit + zealous bow sounds better to me ...
But really whirling defense + balthazars spirit eh? If uve got no energy regen , and u dont get hit , u dont even have energy for barrage .
Im thinking of 2 builds :
No whirling defense , with balthazars spirit + live vicariously + vigorous spirit with dragos flatbow ( druid armor ) or any other good bow ( but not zealous )
or
Whirling defense , without balthazars spirit ,with live vicariously + vigorous spirit + Zealous flatbow / shortbow / halfmoonbow of fortitude .

I disagree with the posts saying rangers strongest solo builds are trapping. I have been a Ranger since i started GW. I find the best damage certain shots with preperations does better damage. As for dealing with groups i think barrage from a longbow is alot better. (seeing as though u arent taking much damage when out of range of spells). Even vs. melee, i farm the cave outside droks (trolls) solo with a throw dirt, stances(evasion stances), and barrage (using spirits for increased damage helps). Or lately ive been trying barrage with conjure flame and armor of mist (or other armor spell). So far i find these to be sturdy builds.
