Some advice for a new warrior
Hi there guys, I would like some advice from the more senior players.
I started playing in Feb and didn't want to bother with builds and farming and all that jazz until I atleast finished the campaine mission. So now that I have I find myself in two minds. Atm I am a W/E. People have told me that this is a good combination but I don't see it anymore. (Maybe for PvP it is) I have trouble finding parties to join in FoW and SF because people only want tank warriors. And solo in these 2 areas is suicide. So I have been playing with my build and managed a pure warrior that can take 4-5 Lvl 21 grifons in the desert at one time. This is as far as I have been able to build a pure warrior. That I get from using Dyloks, Glads Defence (e) and "Watch Yourself". All of this works good and well, but nobody wants me in their parties because in their minds only W/Mo can truly tank. Plus I can only find decent W/Mo builds on the net so I have had no help in creating my W/E build...its been all trial and error.
So after all this rambling, here are my questions...
1. Should I change my secondary profession to monk to please the masses and get parties easier?
2. If I change it, what will happen to the skill points I have spent on the Ele skills?
3. Does anyone have examples of a build for W/E that can either tank or deal major damage so I can get parties easier in FoW and SF?
I am also in the process of upgrading my droks armor to 15K armor, I have been told that you get parties easier when you have 15K because it is seen as a sign of experience. (My char has just over 400K xp now) I have only been able to afford 1 piece so far but I will get it eventually.
This is dumb though if you ask me, I started a party for SF mission and everyone that joined my party left after a few seconds with the comment "lol, noob party". WTF, eventualy I got a four man party together, filled it with henchies and owned the missions np....with henchies??? Simply because we all worked together as a team. I think all these stupid "133t" players should swollow their pride for once and join a "n00b" party or 2 and maybe they will learn something, or atleast give the guys some advice and stop being a-holes.
Anyway, I am getting of my topic now...please could someone look at my questions and maybe give me some answers? Thanks alot in advance guys...
PS. Is victo's a good blade...I love the life steal but the -1 regen means I have to constantly heal myself while running around.
Cheers and thank you...

1. NO!
2. You keep any skills that you've already purchased or captured for your secondary. If you switch to monk and then back to ele, then your ele skills are there again.
3. I don't have a build for you, but I exclusively run either w/r or w/me. Try our your same skill sets with a w/me and throw in physical resistance. Most of the time I use all warrior skills and don't use my secondary.
4. 15k armor is for vanity, only get it if your doing it for yourself. If your doing it to get in to groups, then it's a waste of money. You don't want those idiots in the first place.
5. I use the desert collector long sword and shield (in stance) all the time and rarely change. I would stick with your droks armor until factions is released if you plan on playing factions.

Don't Change
I've been playing as a W/E since October. I'm able to do quite a bit of farming, but I take henches with me. As a W/E, you have a lot more firepower (dmg-dealing), IMO than a W/Mo. A couple of things I can tell you:
-take the time to know what all the skills are that you can use when your secondary profession is Elementalist. There are some great Elemental skills that, combined with your weapon of choice, allows you to deal respectable damage;
-understand that you're going to approach farming a little differently than
You're going to be a little more attack-oriented than a W/Mo, meaning that you should think of dealing damage quickly, versus standing and absorbing damage until you outlast the monster you're fighting.
I went farming in Perdition Rock recently (I took henches with me). Myb Build was:
Res Sig
Endure Pain
Warrior's Endurance (Elite)
Ice Prison
Conjure Frost
Ice Spikes
Pure Strike
Savage Slash
I was using an Icy Fellblade of Fortitude, and a Tall Shield with +30hp, so my HP was around 512, and energy was 27.
I was looking for Harn Coldstone (looking to cap that Obsidian Flesh elite skill for Elementals--I have an idea about using that for pvp). I was able to clear out almost all of Perdition rock (I didnt bother going down to fight the ether seals). I found him, after he saw me and went the other way. I finally caught him (it took me a little over an hour; I know I never feel I have to complete anything in 5 minutes).
I'm not saying this is the perfect build for a W/E (I know I'm usually tweaking it every now and then), but I was able to farm and complete Perdition's Rock and Hell's Precipice with this build. Of course, you'd need to change the ele skills depending on the area you're farming (change to fire skills whe going into cold air, and Air skills--especially lightning--are always good); and what weapon you bring to take advantage of this (fire weapons for fire ele skills; icy weapons for water ele skills, etc.)

W/E can tank as well as or better than a W/Mo in some areas. There are a number of Earth and Water spells that can help you (only choose one line though).
The thing is that in some areas, FoW in particular, enchantments will get stripped constantly so they are not as effective. Even if you're not using any monk skills in your build, being a W/Mo gives you access to Rebirth which is the best PvE ressurect skill. W/Mo will also allow you to remove hexes and conditions from yourself.
Yes, Victo's Blade is actually one of the best swords possible in the game. The other would be a zealous 15%dmg >50%hp +30hp sword. The way to get around the -1 hp regen is to switch to another weapon slot while you're not fighting, then switch back to Victo's when you are.

That's on you, bro...but if that was the case, why do I read about so many people dying when trying to farm?

I would really want to farm with henchies, they steal your drops.
I know these guys not taking you because you are a noob is idiotic, but the fact is to clear these areas you need a decent party, and the experienced guys will just not take you if you even smell of noob. Eish, wel I have decided they can kiss my ass. I will not be a noob forever...and I will explore and conquer all of these areas without them.
PS. I helped my brother with Gates of Kryta this morning and actually got a gold max damage longsword from the drakes near the bonus...awesome!

With Victo's if you are running around with it - stop...
Switch your weapon from a vampiric sword to a non-vampiric when your not in battle... then you don't have to worry about the -1 health.
I'd recommend swapping your Secondary Profession to what you want and try some of the builds that are laid out in here... learn the build you want to use with henchies and then go solo for farming.
Forget people that drop you for being a "noob" - chances are they know the same or less than you do. I had a lvl20 tank totally hose a mission the other day because he thought he could tank everything - but I was lvl12 and was such a "n00b" that I didn't know what I was talkin about... right.
