Favorite builds and locations for farming with Ranger?
I have seen alot of builds with ranger farmers and i would like to know which locations, builds and drops are the best. Post ur builds or locations that are ur favorite.
Fow farming is my personal favourite. (forest of FoW and im working on a build that can solo forest and beach)
Ettins i hear are really good.
Grawls drop occassional golds but aren't that great.
IDS soloing with ranger is pretty good.
Solo imp farming (no IDS) is bad
Trolls are so bad drops that i would only use to level and get skill points.
I'd like ur input on ur favorite builds and locations. This thread is mainly for others to find all possible farming locations on 1 thread (i had to look for days to find good builds to solo with).

FoW = Fissure of Woe

I do runs at Ice Caves of Sorrow, i find it's the best spot overall. Every run takes about 20 minutes, that is to say i fill up my inventory with assorted items. On average i get about a gold drop every two runs, and about 2 purples every run. There are always 1-2 shiverpeak chests lying around the place aswell. On average each run gets me about 4-5 platinum from vendoring items, probably more if you salvaged and sold raw mats.

One thing I am sure of. People always over-sell their favorite farming spots
Ice Imp/Golem farming I would say gives you a gold drop about 1 in 5 runs and a chest every other run. And I don't think I have been unlucky because I have run it far too many times to be hit with a bit of bad luck.
Mountain Troll trapping is very poor for cash, less than 1K per run, gold drops very rare. If you get a purple, count yourself lucky. however, it is very easy and quick.
IDS is lotto, very long, slow and un-rewarding, but you can win the lottery.
Ettins, supposedly good but I have wasted a lot of time for zero yield there. I guess it's good if you get lucky, many don't.
Grawl bombing is good for XP only, the drops will just about cover the cost of xp scrolls. Mainly its good for bragging rights
FoW farming I haven't tried.
My favorite spot? All of the above of course, we're rangers, we do it all

FoW and Tombs right now. I used to farm Griffons (nerfed), Minotaurs, Trolls (a little bit as they're not too profitable), and Ettins. And I occasionally trap UW for ectos, but trapping is boring, so...
