I can keep a good tank alive forever. No matter how many aggro he draws. As long as he doesn't draw me into this. Tanks tend to run to the monsters, instead of drawing them. When you run to them, you draw your healer with you. Some monsters will ignore you and attack the healer. When that happens, your built doesn't matter anymore. You're dead meat :P

Pommel of Defense +5

Sometimes the monk is just too busy and not all tanks are wammos. I run a W/E tank that soaks damage like a sponge. Between obsidian flesh and armor of earth and watch yourself even Aataxes have a hard time doing significant damage to me. Just the two ele armor buffs up my knight's boots and superior absorb the most I've ever seen them hit me for was 30 points and that was because I was using healing signet. With the proper armor buffs 40 armor isn't going to make that much difference.

which is better or you prefer...this is the tank that absorbs damage like a sponge...thanks

rune of minor tactics
+75 hp
shield stance = 18 seconds
bonnetis defense = 10 seconds
"to the limit" = 5 foes maximum
"watch yourself" = 10 seconds

or

rune of superior tactics
-75hp
shield stance = 20 seconds
bonnetis defense = 11 seconds
"to the limit" = 6 foes maximum
"watch yourself" = 11 seconds
