I decided to make a build to solo the rune-dropping, big, ugly ettins outside beetletun.
***I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS BUILD ON ANY OTHER MONSTER***

RECOMMENDED ARMOR: Ascalon helm. The rest wyvern/platemail

RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
AXE:Your health will be going over and under 50%, so I recommend using a "While Enchanted" axe. Over 50 is fine, too. Tanzits Cleaver is useful, because it lengthens deep wound by 33%. If you do not have a tanzits cleaver, it is recommended to use an axe with 15^50 or 15 while enchanted. Throw on a cruel axe haft and a axe grip of fortitude/shelter.
SHIELD: You will always be enchanted, so malinons shield is useful. If you dont have one, any shield with + health while enchanted is good.

ATTRIB POINTS:
Tactics 10 + 1 + 1
Axe Mastery 10 + 1
Strength 10 + 1

RUNES: Minor axe mastery, minor tactics, minor strength

SKILL BAR:
Eviscrate {E}
Distracting Blow
Sprint
Cyclone Axe
Healing Signet
Dolyak Signet
Balthazars Spirit
Watchful Spirit

STRATEGY:
Do NOT put on enchantments yet. Keep going east past the gargs until you reach a narrow path. Run past the first group of tengu, then sprint when you reach the second. After your on the other side, heal and put on your enchantments. Use dolyak signet first, followed by cyclone axe when the ettins are around you. Use eviscrate when you can. When they use healing sig, interupt. When your low on health, use healing sig. Keep dolyak on at all times. The ettins die fairly quickly. The most damage I have done was 94.

Oh my god..welcome to the party about 5 months late..ettins and various sword/axe builds are COMMON knowledge.
