Then think of it in combo with Guilt or Shame. The enemy wil not have much enrgy to kill with.

They'd have -4 Energy Degen, and -2 health degen. You'd have -2 health degen.

Read the effects lol.

its pretty useless to stack them though - Thats alot of energy and time wasted when it ends the second they hit 0 energy. Especailly now alot of people carry energy reducing things to "hide" their energy while under this and such.

Example: I'm a monk with that uses a +15 energy (insightful head) staff. I just got hit with this. Ok, I swith to my wand with -5 energy focus, and BOOM, my energy reachs 0 in seconds....But oh wait..I swith right bakc to my staff - and I get a "free" burst of 15 energy...No harm at all.

It's never a waste to cast this and wither on a caster. You must be joking.
This skill costs 5 energy and wither 10. That's not alot of energy to remove 4 arrows of energy regen.

On a monk this is usually a killer unless it is removed in time.
But it never is because the recharge times on this and wither are too low to keep up any sort of removal.

That is why i was experimenting with melandrus resilence.
With that skill you are pretty much immune to this.

It's garbage - a focus swap either removes it, or if it doesn't my energy is high enough that I don't care.

This is an ok spell. Here is why.

1. Malaise does not end when the energy is 0. So if u do get them down to 0, u can keep them there for longer than normal.

2. Its loooooooooong. (which is good in places like CA, where there is not much Hex Removal)

Uh... yes it does. It totally ends when they hit zero.

It can still be a good skill, though. They can't shake it off unless they're already at lowish energy, and even if they are it at least takes some of their time and attention. And it's cheap enough that you can keep putting it back on and spread it around to several enemy casters, as long as you have some way to handle the degen. (Either on your own bar or through monk spells from teammates.)

malaise's only saving grace with the ease of energy swapping is the fact that its recharge is 2 seconds and it costs 5 energy, pretty much meaning you can spam it regardless if they focus swap or not, but far more useful on a ranger or warrior and pretty much useless on a monk since you can bet they will be prepaired for it.

I don't really give a bugger if they remove it with cop. I just recast it. It's not like i don't have 5 energy or the skill is recharging.

You spend 5 energy - They spend 10 to remove it (Atleast 5 for an enchantment + 5 for cop).

This skill alone won't shut down a monk but with some pressure and help from partymembers it will.

Why not use mindwrack along with this? You don't have to even put many points in domination, a monk under pressure will just recognize the icon and hold on to his staff.

I said this is useless just with wither, and I stick to it.

Atleast on a monk.

Monks already are working with little to no energy 90% of the time. Something that ends when they reach zero isnt going to do much to them, and wastes the necro's time reapplying it, he is much better to be annoying the other people and leave the monk to a domination mesmer.
