Default Another reason to kill the Mesmer first...

Expel Hexes

I can't tell you how fast that shuts down my damage on my curses Necro. In the PvE areas I simply go straight for any of the Jade Mesmers.

With fast casting and the fact that it removes 2 hexes... it's nearly impossible to cover something expensive like SS.

Seems PvP just got more interesting.

Yay more reason to kill the caster with very little def...at least monks get decent healing.

As if mesmer's didn't have enough problems...

Honestly as nice as it is I don't think it's worth an elite spot on a mesmer bar. Could be used depending on the build, but not often in my opinion.

8 second recharge makes this spell perfect for an elite spot.

I would rather take 1 elite that can take care of hexes than have 4 other skill slots taken up for hex removal.

The main advantage of this skill is its non attribute which means it doesn't hurt the point distribution. Shutdown mesmers are going to love this skill as an elite since most of their power comes from non elite skills.

Would be a very good counter for a pressure build.

Expel Hexes is no doubt one of the best skills out of Factions, but it has it's not overpowered simply because it's an Elite. It means you can't go Surging, Migraining or any of the other Mesmer archetypes that use an Elite for its focus. However, as Twicky Kid said, Domination Mesmers, using Blackout, Diversion, etc. benefit greatly as they don't really need an Elite to work effectively.
