N/Me FoC Archane Echo Spike
i was bored today and decided to mess around with some necro skills...trying to think of mass dmg builds except the legendary Aura of The litch/dark aura spiker
this is wat i came up with:
Curses 16 (3+1)
Illusion Magic 9
Soul Reaping 10 (+1)
Paracistic Bond (spammable with usage of Tab)
Archane Echo
Feast of Corruption
Desecrate Enchantments
Conjure Phantasm
insedious Parascite (great to cast on warriors, even if they are not attacking you (amazing for W/R fury wars) because of healing)
Illusion of Weakness (because u always got to have a little self heal
Res Sig
this build works good in RA...unless ur facing a 2monk team, then u will have to rely on much help from allies dmg dealing.
in TA 3 necros as such and a boon prot monk do get very far (it got me a 27 or so consecutive wins so far)
This is all very simular to the HoH FoC spike, but that build is different, and didnt really work in smaller teams.
How to:
When ur oponents start approaching u, Tab-Spam Paracistic Bond. After that is done cast Conjure Phantasm, then Archane Echo and of coruse FoC. after both FoCs are cast, finish off ur target with Desicrate Enchantments. There is a possibility ur target doesnt die, so sometimes i like to cast Desicrate enchantments right after paracistic bond, then the rest of the skills in the same order.
Monks are harder to take down, but do go down with a bit of spamming (generally 3 FoCs 2 Conjure and 1-2 Des. Enchants does the work for me, unless of course it is a Boon Prot Monk )
enjoy
plz feel free to post any improvments or suggestions u think might suit this build
thx

It costs 15E. In a build that's easily burning up 30E...15E will hurt. Plus, you want that 15E to rock out another FoC once you Arcane Echo it.
I'd advise him to drop Insidious Parasite for Awaken the Blood. FoC spikes become absolutely absurd with 18 Curses. 19 is even better with the +1/20% off-hand.

I agree with putting in awaken the blood in place of insidious, and I also suggest putting in Shadow of Fear in place of Conjure Phantasm. It's 10E for a spread hex, which is faster and probably cheaper than spamming parasitic bond on everything. To make this more seconday-friendly, I'd also suggest that you wouldn't need illusion of weakness. As long as you put a parasitic bond or two on enemies before spiking, your health should be fine.

i agree with shadow of fear. gotta bring it for foc.
and since your mesmer secondary you could think about power drain, drain enchantment to keep your energy up. i wouldn't mess with insidious parasite. expensive as hell. and the 2 second cast time sucks for FoC. i've seen guys use mantra of resolve to keep it from getting interrupted.

My guild leader and I ran this build before, it was a little different though. It was suffering, Shadow of Fear, Parasitic Bond, FoC, Arcane Echo, Illusion of Weakness, Awaken the Blood, Res Sig. We just went into random groups with just us 2, we ran a boon/prot monk, and an interrupt mesmer. Usually a target would die from the 4 FoC's.

thx for the advice on Awaken the Blood...idk how i didnt think of that
and as far as suffering goes...very bad idea (tried it), it eats up my energy and for a -2 degen that may not even effect my target, because of mending and such, it is unsuatable.
I guess killing my targets faster rather than disabling a war with Insedious is smarter
ill try it out

Suffering is nice because it puts a hex on the target, not for its affects. FoC lubbles the hexes.
