Question When would you use

Hi there,
I notice a lot of people use Veratas Sacrifice, for obvious reasons, however I just found Veratas Aura as well, which tbh looked quite useful to me, especially when you expect a lot of undead hostiles.
Is there any reason for not using this??

Your help as usual much appreciated

Fred

1) I don't think you encounter hostile undead often.

2) if you have proper necro boots + weapon/and off hand item you should be beating enemies to raising undead all of the time.

3) After X amount of time you lose control of your undead minnions when Verta's Aura wears off. I am assuming not only one's you took control of, but also those you have raised on your own (that was my understanding per the skill description).

4) It's an enchant, so whem it gets stripped you lose control of minnions. Thus it is unreliable.

5) With those reasons mentioned above, it becomes a waste of a skill slot.

Just from the Factions Prevew Weekend, Verata's Aura was a great skill to have to neuter the opposing MMs in the 12v12 battles. Sure you lost the minions when the enchant was removed or expired, but then so did they... and thus their domination of the battlefield was ended.

I view VA as an effective way of removing an MM army from one side of the battle. Worse case they go aggro on everyone (or the opposing necro was smart and brougth it too - but then he can now lose control of those minions just as easily).

Its underused in the current guildwars because MMs are used all that much (if at all) in the PvP arena.

Just to be clear, VA works on minions (i.e. summoned Horrors, Fiends, Minions) so it will not work on regular undead mobs (skeletons, ghouls, nightmares, etc). It may seem silly for me to have to put this out, but a couple of weeks ago I went into FoW with a Necro that sneaked in being a MM, and if that wasn't enough, his build was built around the idea that he was gonna take control of the Shadow mobs with Verata's Aura and Verata's Gaze. Needless to say, the run lasted 5 minutes and ended with everyone cursing him out and /ragequiting.
