Shutdown using Mantra of Recovery
I just made a build for fun in TA yesterday 'cause I was tired of using Energy Surge or Glyph of Renewal for my elites in shutdown/energy denial. I think it's a decent build, though purely support. I would like some feedback
Mesmer/Ranger
Fast Casting: 9 + 1
Domination: 12 + 3 + 1
Inspiration: 8 + 1
Wilderness Survival: 5
1. Mantra of Recovery {Elite}
2. Serpent's Quickness (wilderness survival)
3. Shame (domination)
4. Energy Burn (domination)
5. Diversion (domination)
6. Energy Tap (inspiration)
7. Drain Enchantment (inspiration)
8. Res Sig (unlinked)
This build was meant to shutdown the monk, or the next most threatening caster on the opposition by cycling through the two stances to recharge the shutdown spells faster. I've had pretty successful runs with it but I'm wondering if I should make some changes regarding the slot on energy burn because it doesn't seem to take it's full damage potential by the time the target triggers Shame, and Energy Tap spams. Ie. the target is at quite low energy, or he's hiding it, in which case energy burn does low damage. Energy Tap is really there to fuel the constant cast of diversion, until the target is unable to use any skills at all. I'm wondering if Wastrel's Worry (for a good cover hex), Guilt (for alternative caster shutdown), or Shatter Enchantment (for a tad bit of damage) would be better use on my bar. I thought about using Mindwrack but it doesn't seem to be worth using in this build, especially since there's few direct energy steals. Any ideas?
