The "New" MM + Orders
I’m not going to take any credit for coming up with a “new” build here, but it’s a good idea in my opinion. There may be builds already out there like this, although I'm unaware of any. So I apologize if this is redundant.
Anyway, after watching numerous PUGs fall apart during the Vizunh Square mission we threw this together last night. Basically you have an MM who focuses on constantly raising as many minions as he can, healing then when he has a chance. (due to nerfed skills of course.) Orders is there to boost the damage output of minions, a barrage ranger or two and the tank(s).
We plowed through the mission with this build easily with an MM, me playing orders and dropping wells, a tank and two barrage rangers.
The build I used was:
16 Blood
13 Soul Reaping
Vamp Gaze
Shadow Strike
Life Transfer
Life Siphon
Order of Pain
Well of Blood
Blood Ritual
Rez sig
Vamp Gaze and Shadow Strike are spammable offense, use them on called targets. They can also be used for self heals after a sac.
Life transfer/Siphon are only really there for monk bosses, but can help you stay alive if you’re taking a beating while sacking.
Keep Order of Pain up constantly – this is ridiculously easy anywhere there are tons of enemies, since with 13 Soul Reaping you will always have a full energy bar.
Well of Blood is finally useful even with an MM, and +6 regen helps a lot.
BR is there for monks who can’t manage their own energy, or for large battles where they have problems.
I've only tested this on one mission, so ymmv. I think it would work well in places like SF and Tombs though.
