Default The Farm Report: Pongmei Valley

I’m sure many of you have already begun the exploitation of Factions, but I thought I would post a little build I’ve been using to clear out the pongmei valley(leaving from tanglewood copse). The Build is really only a slight modification to the spider farming build (props to the creators). I don’t assume its optimal, and others may have better builds, but I though I would share.
-----------------------------------
EDITS*
I headed out further to the Yetis. You can do them in with some long work as you get blinded once and a while and they use heal sig. Thinking about either adding in mend ailment or distracting blow and taking out watch yourself

Yeti's: These guys are a pain for this build. You aren't going to die, but it can take a while. The Blindness is a result of shadowsong, a spirit which they cast. They also use Trappers focus which makes their traps more diffucult to disrupt. You can either just tough it out and wait until the spirit dies, or try and interrupt. Adding Riposts as Byteme has done might improve this.

Drops: They seem pretty decent. I've had 2 gold drops, one in each of the last 2 runs (my fav: Barbed Archaic of Shelter 6-28 (r8) +15(enchanted) Arm +5), a couple purples each time out, lots of collectable drops worth 25-30, armours, gold). I haven't paid close enough attention to see what I get on a run, but I'll post that when I can. The Rot Wallow Tusks can be traded to a collector for a +30 always -5(20%) shield -> Losi Hapatu is the dude
-------------------------------

Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash (or the new double hit one if you wish)
Tiger Stance
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Healing Hands
Healing Signet

Attributes
Heal = 8
Str = 10 (9+1)
Sword =13 (11+2)
Tact = 10 (8+2)

The Equipment
Glads + Ascalon Boots
Enchant Shield (when hands is on and tiger off) + stance for when using tiger stance is on
Or
30 HP always -5 (20%)

Either way, it really doesn’t matter much

The Enemies

Stone scale kin
Rot wallow
Island Guardian
Undergrowths
Archer dudes (spirit of x, sorry I forgot the name…)
Yeti

The General Plan
Engage and toss healing hands up with dolyak sig, keep watch yourself up when u can. Tiger stance/bleed/gash/galrath. When Healing hands goes down keep yourself alive with healing sig. Put back up healing hands, your health refills and repeat. Run around and kill stuff.

Stone Scale Kin
They disease you, but it doesn’t really matter as Hands keeps your health up and just use sig when its down. They also raise minions from their fallen comrades.

Undergrowth
Nothing to worry about here. Just use the plan.

Rot Wallows
These are the most annoying of the bunch as they use something called vampiric bite which seems to be roughly the same as vampiric touch (remember the scarabs). You’ll have to heal more frequently to keep your health up. Don’t engage too many of these at once.

Island Guardian
The only thing of note is signet of judgement which of course knocks you on your butt. To avoid this embarrassment just keep dol sig up. Hack away, it drops.

Archer Dudes (sorry again)
No real trouble here again.

The most important question is of course drops. I haven’t done it enough to get a good sense, but I’ve had keys and some purple items so far. There are lots of collectable item drops, the rangers drop armour pieces- which could potentially be worth something if you get ritualist or assassin runes and materials are good right now- and of course cash. Whether golds show up or not is an open question. If not, its still potentially profitable and it’s a fun new place with fun new monsters to pick on.

There may be better farming spots down the road, but my warrior is only as far as getting to the lift operator. I was so tired of the filthy city I thought I would stick around a while in the wonderful green outdoors and have a little fun.

I'll post a map as soon as I can, going to busy tonight and tommorw. For now, I don't really follow any route exactly just go where the enemies happen to be. Also, you may want to boost strength more to get more out of tiger stance and be careful of wander patrols as you might get into trouble with Rot wallows in particular.

Been farming since day 1 release.

Sever Artery, Gash, Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Galrath Slash, Silverwing slash (not sure of name but identical to Galrath), Healing Hands, Live Vicariously.

Easy map to solo with this build. Pure damage with excellent healing. Enemies are the same ones mentioned above. You can venture further and tackle some of the Am Fah's but I don't suggest large groups since you'll probably degen to death.

There's a certain place outside of a certain area where you arrive via boat that can be solo'ed easily with this build (replace one of the slashes for bonetti's defense). 3 golds (1 of which was a Superior Vigor) in 4 runs.
