Bye minion army :( HELLO MISC. ARMY :D
I was just doing some PVE before my extened weekend is over *BOO FREAKEN CD DIDN"T COME YET* I know a lot of you guys are down in the dumps about the MM "nerf" but something fun to do i find it go n/ri
Its cool because you are helpful throughout the fight, at the beginning you can summon spirits to aid you team, when they die you gain energy, and by the time they do something else should be dead
which means hello minion. IT seems almost everything in factions drops a corpse, i mean i havn't seen anything like a stone elemantal body in ages *i will tomorrow since my factions cd key hasnt come yet >_<* Anyway, i just found it was extremely cool and an alternative atm to be this "afterlife lord" which is the name of my dude
There are so many regular assassins and rits that a team may drop a hihg level person just for you *arn't you so special *
A MM is still needed, in factions more than ever, for there corpes are numerous, and they need explioted because, heck who is going to do it, a ranger?
The thing is many rituals should be able to help the MM such as the recuperation that gives health regen to allies in the area
and now with the surplus corpes can you say SOUL FEAST, its a nice healing spell and only takes once corpse away from yeah, and from what i have seen, unless the assassin is going to make fondu with the corpse, there isn't much competition for them.
I really recommend you guys try out a n/rit, they are a lot of fun, i just can't figure out to go with communing or restoration, most likly restoration, since the communing line is kinda eh, and all the level 6 rits seems to abuse it with their [email protected] 5 D4m4g3 P41n Sp1r1t!@!@
So yeah, mm people cheer up a little now you can not just make minions, but also control the spirit realm, i think soul reaping in a long battle owns spawning power and minute long recharges for spirits anyday.
Not to mention we don't do some hippie dance making the spirits

OMG!
Someone using their mind and coming up with a NEW MM build.
Blastphomy.
Seriously I hope every one of the people crying about the MM nerf actually reads this post. Because there are MORE options, people are just upset because their cookie cutter 30 minion + armies are no more. Suck it up.... there are so many options its incredible. I have a couple new ones myself, but until people stop freaking out theres no point for me to post it. I dont' feel like getting 30 messages on why their old MM was better and how its not fair... blah blah... if anyone some ideas they can PM me.

Yeh i agree, i actually have made a n/rit and it really kicks ass, if your familiar about that quest "the captured son" that everyone is bitching about because its so hard, i took my lvl 14 MM with a group of lvl 13s, and 14,s I KICKED ASS,the quest was so easy because the corspses just kept coming, when i maxed out my minions, i spammed blood of the master combined with soul feast to keep my health up.
easy peasy
PLUS im not even level 20 yet and hevent even used vamparic horrors or flesh golems, the story gets better :0.
PLUS you are right, everytime i enter a town, believe it or not im like the only necromancer there, let alone only MM there.
ok maybe if you are an MM in tyria your adventure is pretty much over, but if u have factions ship him off to cantha right now!!!

In actual fact, I've played my MM a bit, and the changes aren't as bad as they look on paper. 10 minions is still ok, but what makes it more manageable is the fact that Blood of the Master auto applies to all minions, rather than those around you, and with VS recharging instantly when you have 3 or less minions, you can have it on constantly without bother. Easier to keep at least some minions intact if you have a bit to run.
Of course, with 10 minions, it's not nice to see VS still has 40 sec until it can be re-used, but as the OP said, there's no shortage of corpses.
Still a very enjoyable class to play.

The spare corpses also open up options like the 2 offensive Wells, which are in Death Magic, but rarely used before. Running a -6 or so Well of Suffering will quickly put the hurt on groups of enemies, and i can't think of a reason this would trigger their AoE fleeing routine.

I don't know why i was allowed, but it let me play this morning and from what i can see, to support your primary rit on your team, the communing rits seem to be very powerful, bloodsong for instance, and shadowsong, union and another i forget which i use. And yeah i can see usuing well of suffering, just make sure your team is outta the way or those pleague explosions will kill them...

Tell it to ANet, because both trigger the AoE routine.

ITs like after the forth mission, pay 500 coins to be able to, but its a one time pay.
N/Ri rocks so much, i pretty much soloed the first mission on my low level, with other level people who died every 2 seconds. Ugg still need to get flesh of my flesh, but other than that i find healing the minions actually bad, they are a huge part of my energy flow. Spirits to start the battle, minions to end it, on the way they die, i get energy, repeat. Yeah its that sweet. Unfortunally people are reluctant to let me on their team still because I am not a stupid primary rit -_-
