Default Skills vs. Attributes

I have a question regarding how to advance your attributes past level 20.

I have noticed that, once I reached level 20, it says that I am "x" number of experience points from getting a skill point. How does that increase my abilities as a Level 20 character? So far skill points are only good for purchasing Skills from a vender. Can they be used or converted to attribute points in order to increase ones capabilities?

skill points are used, along with gold, to purchace new skills. they dont affect your charachters skill, level, or attribute points

I actually went out and googled this and Wikipedia had a pretty good rundown. Once one gets to Level 20, that's it for attribute points. From here on out I must enhance my abilities by using Runes and balancing my attributes.

If there is any addtional discussion about how to enhance ones abilities after level 20 I would welcome it.

There are 4 quests (2 for Tyrian characters, and 2 for Canthan characters) that each reward 15 attribute points. Thus, combined with the attribute points gained from reaching level 20, you have a maximum of 200 points to use. You are correct that from there, it's just what skills you pick and how you assign the attribute points that matters in how effective the whole package will be.
