Just wondering...any chance for Ri/W??
Any chance to build a Ri/W?
I really like the look of Ri but I love swinging a sword

I think a warrior/ritualist would be better. You could use the ashes elites to deal damage and use dolyak sig and other armor gain skills to stay alive. You could ruun ahead, aggro everything. activate an ashes elite to steal life and deal damage and kill everything

Actually, I predict W/Rts becoming very, VERY common when Factions comes out unless the AI code is worked over. As the ashes are items, they draw aggro just like gears/torches/books/etc. There are some other ashes that last for a very long time, past their recharge even. The one that gives extra health and heals when dropped can go up to 1 minute with a 30 sec. recharge. Ash farming where ever it's convenient, probably FoW/UW/Tombs.

I don't think you can say whether Rit/W will work well, at least until we know how the 'weapon' Skills will stack.

I've tried and as of yet weapons do not stack and Rt/W is a giant mistake (at least i thought so). slow attack and not enough fire-power of u wanted to stay alive (i had to constantly heal myself with the 3 restoration skills i brought along). The damag ratio was too low for my tastes, even with 12 w/e weapon mastery. No matter how cool they looked in combat stance it wasn't really an effective build. W/Rt might have some credit though,, i haven't tried that one yet.

If your going by the game standards i don't exactly know how it would work, i mean its like being 100% blind the whole time =p
but seriously though, every proffession seems to have capabilites with working with any other, you just gotta find a build, some builds may work in certian areas and not in others, either way good luck
P.S. Since you can't see i might come from behind you with my beasty assassin and poke yea lol

Thread revive!
Just made a Rt/W and its going fine at the moment, although only level 12, just through some of the initial quests.
Thing about the Rt/W is that he looks cool when he waves a sword around. No other reason really.
Well, actually, there is that armour that gives +5 +5 +5 to armour level depending on how many spirits you control, which raises their armour level to near warrior if the spirits are up - 75 to 80. Once these spirits are up they provide extra support anyway, like +2 regen or more damage to the enemy, so in my opinion it is viable.
The other thing is of course the extra weapon enchantments, like brutal weapon, etc, which help the damage dealing. Grab a few adrenaline based attacks and i'd say its good to go.
