They're both dagger skills.
They're both lead attacks.
They both have same damage output.
They both cripple for same amount of time.

Yet, Black Mantis Trust has :

- Hexed target requirement
- Refresh time higher than Leaping Mantis Sting, by 2.
- Energy cost higher than Leaping Mantis Sting, by 5.

What's the point of Black Mantis Trust if you can use a more efficient Leaping Mantis Sting? Am I missing something?

Leaping mantis sting needs the target to be moving, and on the first hit they quite often arent. If you use impale on the target first, then black mantis thrust cripples no matter what.

Ahh...I forgot about that, which does make both skills different.

However, cripple is usually PVP oriented, and people move a lot during PVP...which I think would make Sting more interesting.

I played too much PVP yesterday, my mind was in PVP mode...
