Default Warrior/Assassin- Assassin Style

I'm thinking about doing the W/A

tanking ablity plus the status effects that the comboing gives you should be key.
note: this is not for the damage potential, but the status inflicting potentia.l

what do you think of the potential?

aside from losing out on crit strike, I'm planning to go Dagger and Shadow arts or even Deadly if I don't need it to teleport since I'm using the warrior aspect to tank. Deadly would help me to gain aggro, and deal damage at the same time.

that's my basic idea for a potental tanking assassin
shoot it down all you want However I think I'll be trying it.

Surely you don't plan to use Dagger Mastery as a Warrior primary ? I think its a very bad idea, since not only will you be limited by a maximum attribute level of 12, the loss of critical strikes means that dagger DPS is significantly blunted. Furthermore, Warriors simply cannot afford to use the energy intensive DM line.

Its like a W/R investing in Marksmanship. It just doesn't work. If you went with a warrior damage line with some utility from Deadly or Shadow arts I think you could come up with something reasonable. If I ever had to make a W/A it would probably be for the teleports, you have no intention of using those and therefore I suggest that you not try it and save yourself some disappointment.

The best effects can be applied by warrior lines as well. Deep Wound, Cripple etc. are all available to this primary.

However, a Warrior/Assassin has serious potential with some very useful Shadow/DEadly arts skills.
A teleporting warrior or hexing warrior can be a real pain.
Assassins have also many cheap and useful crippling skills.
