pfft. Hammer warriors will pwn you everytime! Hammer>you. 1337!

Seriously, though. Don't overlook the knocklock. I assume by pvp you mean heroes ascent. Because Hammer warriors are awesome in gvg.

Well now you say sword is better I say u forget your self, say hello to my new axe skill friend: Lacerating chop kd foe bleeds for x amount of sec so:
Shock, lacerating chop, eviserate, executioners.
We have knock down, bleeding and deep wound + extra damage in +extra damage with only 4 skills can swords do that ? Oh and dont forget axe rack crippled and bleeding and deep wound oh the fun
Shock+Lacerating+Evicerate+Exe is roughly equal to Shock+Sever+Gash+Final.

Dragon Slash strikes me as a PvE skill. It allows you to hit one mob with sever+gash, then go and hit another mob with the same combo in rapid suscession. The DS+S&M Slash +FGJ combo is also a PvE combo; I don't really think anyone was seriously advocating using the combo in PvP, or at least I wasn't.

That being said, does anyone know where to cap the skill? Has it been changed since the FPE?

In pvp nothing is gonna touch the chargesword build so far

sever
gash
final
charge

FTW, the new builds are nice, but its less utility effective, since too much is imphasized on DPS, sever + gash does about the same dmg(if no condition removed right away) in about what? 4 and 7 hits ^^ softies don't stand a chance most the time anyway, charge is too awesome to give up. Charge + frenzy(tiger stance) is perfect.

Axe will remain the same sadly, cept maybe replace executioner w/ the copy of penetrating blow, which is 3 strikes less than exectioner. I'm thinking axe would go: Evi + lacerating axe(dunno name) + penetrating blow = crzy dmg + deepwould followed up by 2 20% armor penetration attacks. Other than that, largely unchanged

Hammers will be different though, w/ some imphasis on weakness combos, gonna be interesting.

What will change is the KD skills though, we might see less W/E and more on pure warrior. Shove/Coward/None shall pass, I assume will make it to the pvp ladder soon. Especially None shall pass, KD EOE on moving foes... softies like to move ^^

One, penetrating blow isn't part of the combo. Only people who waste slots would get it.

Two, dragon slash is conflicting because then you either give up all versatility and became a rage machine on stationary targets because of using up 5 slots just for attacks (severe/gash/galrath/copy/dragon), or you use just galrath/copy/dragon and have no deep wounds. Your return capabilities will then exceed axe, but your spike damage will not. Much better as pressure then.

However, there are new combos that have more decent pressure damage while retaining a spike to a lesser degree (due to no FT unless you gimp versatility again), but adds something else conditionally.

Sword definately can compete with axe now, but as far as pressure goes, I have to go with Ensign on hammer. ES is just too good to pass up.

Lol, what the muffin man said was hilarious. Sword can do bleeding/deepwound in two skills. Without a kd required XD

I've become quite fond of the Dragon Slash + FGJ... along with Standing Slash + Sun and Moon Slash. 20 seconds at 16 sword drops bosses nicely.

Hrm...I never liked sword or hammer as much as axe from day 1 but farming builds and GvG made me always wish I liked them more. Maybe it's time to give 'em both another chance...
