Default Would this Ranger "Spike?" build work

Punishing shot, Savage shot, Dual shot, ignite arrows, Favorable winds, Pen shot.(Rest w/e)

Have 4 rangers use Ignite Arrows, Target a target and all use Dual Shot while Order Of The Vamp is on, and all have 5/-1 vamp bows, that would make the target see 16(Ignite Dual)+16(Order of vamp for each separate damage)+ your -5(per person shooting) Damage things. Since Dual shot plus Ignite arrows has 4 seperate damage thingys(Per person)4x4=16 would order of the vamp trigger for all 4 hits, or just 2?

I stayed up all night so if some parts don't make sense I'll try to get them to.

This is what I mean when I say 4 seperate damage thingy?

ignite arrow damage is fire damage and would not trigger on order of the vamp, so it will trigger twice per duel shot.
this ranger "spike", is "ranger spike"
the only thing you did was change read the wind out for ignite arrows, which isnt smart, since arrows are easier to dodge this way, and the added damage is relatively weak since you could have taken kindle instead...

ranger spike does duel shot > punishing shot while under RtW and OotV, three of these rangers were enough to take down a target (they ran with double orders), but now i guess four will have to be the number of spikers.

ranger spike lost a lot of it's damage with the order nerf...

actually... ignite adds fire dmg... it doesn't turn ur arrows into fire dmg... so Orders will still work

ranger spike's been around for a long time. Ignite Arrows isn't all that great for damage. a basic build for a ranger spiker would be:

Dual Shot
Punishing Shot
Savage Shot
Read the Wind

and other things. Dual shot is quite powerful with a preparation; coupled with near-instant damage from punishing shot along with a savage shot about 1.5 seconds later, your enemy will have a hard time coping...unless he's got prot spirit or Shields Up! or any kind of blocking or evading skill.

Damage from RtW ignores Armor where additional Damage from kindle doesn't.

prot spirit cant stop rspike, since the damage is spread out... the counters are infusing, aegis, guardian, shield of deflection and shielding hands (to name a few)...

i meant that prot spirit doesn't completely stop the spike (even though rspike was meant to counter prot spirit...). with 16 in marksmanship, Punishing shot will deal around the high 70's to 90's to a target with 60 AL. assuming that said target has around 480 health, protective spirit will negate some amount of damage from the spike.

but still, this is all trivial...prot spirit doesn't help out much when dealing with ranger spike, it's just nice to have. the best counter to ranger spike is any kind of evading or blocking skill, or just a good infuser. i was wrong in the first place, didn't know what i was thinking...

(y'know, i can't shake off the feeling that someone who's more experienced than me in PvP is laughing at me now.)
