Its soul purpose is taking down warriors in PvP. Engage a warrior and contiously use both Ripostes, Bonetti's Defense when you need to get yourself up and let the warrior burn himself out with skills that won't effect you. Hundred Blades is your basic means of damage, Final Thrust when HP is bellow 50%, and Sprint if target runs away or you need to run and heal with Healing Signet.
Note: If you bring Gladiator's Defense, constantly interchange between Bonetti's and Gladiator's to keep yourself alive.
Note: Riposte's do not stack

Useless. It's not like intelligent warriors attack each other in PvP anyway. They go for your blinding/healing/damaging casters.
I actually encountered your build a few days ago in YA. The warrior kept telling me to attack him in local chat. After disarming his support, I let the ele have the pleasure.
Sorry, useless turtle build.

if you want to make a build "solely to kill pvp warriors", just use an SS necromancer, mantra of persistance mesmer, degen build, trapper, earth elementalist... anything but a warrior, especially one with repostes and glads defence. you are useless to your group like that, since you arent causing any damage.

Not pointless at all.. In RA I almost always have a warrior come after me. Especially with 15k gladiator's it makes them swarm me thinking (Hah I'll pwn this RP junkie)
Not to mention all the War's wanting to 1 vs 1, It also owns IW mesmers; For warriors being intelligent thats just a contradicting statement.. I've had a Warrior flash his Tiger Rank at me then engage me; With the Riposte build I killed him under 10 seconds. This was on the Ring of Fire pvp map, so he respawned came at me again (Died), respawned came at me again (Died)... In all I killed him 4 times that round, if you judge people by your own standards you won't understand the nature of others. (Basically most people are morons)
Its only seemingly pointless until you try it. (After all how can you neglect a skill that deals the same damage as Final Thrust with the target under 50% of their HP for 4 less adreline strikes..)
Edit: Wait wait wait.. Something that completey could counter an IWAY warrior is useless to a team?

wow just cause they came after you doesnt mean all of em will. my warrior aint the first target for PvP warriors and i got 15k glads too. most warriors in PvP only like to think theyre above all the other warriors so they charge. most of the people you faced were eiether arrogant to the extreme or mentally retarded. i prefer to eliminate the mesmers, necro's and ele's because they cause the greatest threat to my smaller teammates.

Appreciating and giving others a pat on the back for accomplishments costs nothing.
Amazing build Nevin, I'll go try it out myself.

u could alos try using battle rage as it would replace both sprint and 100 blades it may keep your damage down some more though
consider using desperation blow because with all those points in tactics you will be dealing 90+ on caster with it and if im not mistaken it ignores armour so its handy vs warrs

still, tell me how this is better than an SS necromancer, who can kill several warriors at once AND be effective against teams with no warriors in them.
basically, your build only works against warriors, and only against warriors who attack you. that's very situational.

Riposte and Deadly Riposte are tactics based, so I'm thinking something got a little confused in the builds, (both have tactics 15 but you state the second one does less dammage)
Thrill of victory is good as well

The Second one does less damage with Final Thrust.
Also, I've found that Hundred Blades > Minions (From a MM in PvP) and the pure vanilla damage from such high swordsmanship makes it fairly easy to still make yourself an asset to the team. Although this doesn't fit any team build, or stand a chance against an organized team (GvG or TA) It'll rip through RA or HoH, even if the warrior changes to you just for a second during a stand off thats enough time to bring him down to 25% of his HP.

While I think your build may have some degree of success in RA due to the extraordinary amount of moronic warriors there, it doesn't have a place in HA. Since when are HoH teams unorganized anyway..?
*Note: if this is a typo then I'm sorry.

HoH teams aren't unorganized, but I've seen many accounts where the warriors will become restless of chasing the monk and try their hand at attacking you (The warrior in this case) Unless its a guildie HoH team then chances are it'll have someone ignorant on it.

Nice build Nevin, tried it myself but had difficulty getting enemy warriors to attack me. so i re build the character as a Monk/Warrior with 12 tactics.. all warriors love attacking monks and the results were quite good, and mesmers putting migraine and backfire etc on you does nothing as you dont use any spells. also this makes it possible for enchantments like mending or vigerous spirit and so on. i noticed though as soon as you get a good necro or ele you die so fast because they target you thinking your a healer. any further suggestions anyone?

Bonetti's ends if you use a skill...any skill...so I guess what I'm asking is what's your sequence here? I'm also pretty sure Riposte's stack....at least they do from what I've seen.

Sigh. This was my great weapon in RA. Not a big secret, but in the fact that no one else really used it. When the update came along, I knew this would explode with usage .
You'd be surprised how many warriors go for you when you attack there 'life-line' in RA. The best thing is, you don't have to stop attacking the squishy to deal with the warrior. Also, if you only spam Riposte and watch for the 'glint' you can evade certain killer skills like Eviscerate with a readily charged Deadly Riposte.
Another great thing about these skills is that, they are like 'shouts' in that they can be activated while doing other stuff. During Heal Signet for example. Plus it has a 100% success rate against 'normal' attacks (not the type that cannot be blocked or evaded), even Wild Blow I believe (Though I could be wrong) making them such great skills .
It may not be the most effective way to play a warrior, but it's sure as hell more fun. I'm getting tired of the traditional warrior builds.
Great post Nevin .
Another point; the only real weakness of the Riposte's is that it is melee only (it would be nice if it blocked arrows also), and secondly, It is a 1 attack wonder. Multiple melle attackers will still own you. Which is where the balance is I suppose.
