Hi, I've been wondering what build to use in Team Arenas, with a mesmer. I wanted to run a E-denial or a E-shutdown (I think), so that I can actually faction farm a little. So far I plan to use:
Me/

1. Energy Surge {E}
2. Energy Burn
3. Mind Wrack
4. Arcane Thievery
5. Diversion
6. Shatter Enchantment
7. Inspired Hex .or. Power Drain
8. Rez

Attributes: 12+1+3 Domination
10+1 OR +2 Inspiration

Frankly I just want to get a good mesmer build, that can shutdown a monk and caster, or just do something because Shock Warrior is extremely boring.
What do you guys recommend? Other skills that I have thought of are:
1. Signet of Humility
2. Signet of Weariness
3. Power Leak

If you're trying to play Mind Wrack, you need alot more drain than what you have. Put in Power Leak and Signet of Weariness.

Sig of Weariness at least is a must

Echo{E} + Sig of Weariness + mantra of inscriptions is faster drain and drains on a wider scale.

Anyways, for the advice of those above, drop shatter enchant for sig of weariness... maybe drain enchant in the 7th slot for energy management instead.

Dropping arcane thievery for signet of humility will help you keep monks from using higher-end energy management. While OoB is not used much any more, energy drain and mantra of recall are used a decent amount. At worst, you lock down an elite, and that is not a bad thing.

Sig of Humil also messes up things like ranger spike (orders or punishing gone), plays hell with spirit spammers that use oath shot... course, those are all much more relevant in HA.

In TA your main usage will be destroying migrane mesmers, kicking energy maintainance from monks, weakening axe/hammer wars, etc.

This is a rather versatile build, the usual routine is starting out by renewed power leaking the opposing mesmer using burns/surges/migraine/diversion. Than start spamming diversion on the boon prot. Use power drain on guardian and drain enchant on an ele if he's around (attunements are popular e-management skills in TA) for e-management and provide the called target with renewed shatter enchants to provide a hafty damage output.

Power Drain is one my personal favorites, at att. 10+2 I'm getting 20 energy profit (It really isn't worth -50 health though), and I can get lucky sometimes too.

Lady Callingwell, I like your build, pretty versatile. Thanks everyone for helping, I'm starting to get a picture in my mind of a nice mesmer build.
