Default Interesting use of secondary warrior profession?

Other than victory is mine, balanced stance, bonetti's, do people actually use warrior skills when NOT using a melee weapon (nonfarming builds)?

Ranger/Warrior: Hammer Mastery (12), Beast Mastery (14), Expertise (9); Hammer Bash, Irresistible Blow, Ferocious Strike [E], Disrupting Lunge, Charm Animal, Comfort Animal, Call of Haste, Tiger's Fury. <-- thumper

well you yourself jsut underlined plenty of skills that ppl used when not using a weapon and besides the ones you mentioned above. I mean the only attribute that is open to someone not useing weapons is tactics, and thats what ppl used.

Honestly, I don't know why more primary caster classes don't use warrior secondaries for the (1) defense skills and (2) speed buffs. Balanced stance would be the most common skill as a primary defense against hammer warriors and gale/bull's users. I always thought Disciplined Stance would be a nice caster defense buff, since it provides very nice protection without preventing you from using other skills. Sprint would be a very nice counter when kiting, and maybe even Rush with a few wand attacks.

I'm a bit puzzled by the use of a caster primary to be a warrior. Obviously, this is done to take advantage of (1) the primary caster attribute and (2) the higher energy pool, and maybe even the element of surprise, but I think that the general lack of armor and being able to max out your weapon skill to 16 with runes seems to counteract some of those advantages.

Interesting to say the least.

Deadly riposte can be great fun to take if you carry a HoD sword and run a warrior secondary. See that eviscerate coming in? Hit it and block the thing. Also from memory it works while knocked down.

Aside from that, monks rarely run it because the energy management is eratic at best.

to me, this question seems to suggest that you are too lazy to think for yourself. maybe try thinking of all the warriors before posting and then if you are having trouble with a serious question, then ask. but as of now, it seems as if you have answered your own question.

I'm not, sorry. Currently I feel only tactics is useful.

The balanced stance monks were basicly a counter to Gale chaining. Now that isn't nearly as viable, it is not so usefull.

Yeah, my hammer warrior never really had a problem with working around balanced stance, the duration is realistically going to be around 15-18 seconds (depending on his investment) with a 30 second recycle.

If you just count that off in your head as soon as you see him activate it you have a big window of opertunity in which it'll be down.
