1st: water ele's arent thought to be very good so there wont be many builds.
2nd: a water ele wont be very good solo but would definitly help archers by slowing down enemy approaches
3rd: i'll do some testing and try and get a build for you

ok, i was looking at the skills and for a pure water ele, there arent much choices:
Ice Spear
Deep Freeze
Ice Spikes
Shard Storm
Armor of Frost
Water Attunement
Elemental Attunement
like i said, i havent tried this but it should work, feel free to switch it up

Water builds are situational. Maelstrom, Blurred Vision, Mist Form, and the slowdown spells are each powerful against some kind of enemies but useless against others.
And for pure damage Water is of course lame compared with other elements.
So even less than for other elements and professions, there's no one good water build that will serve you well all over PvE.

I'm not going to give you a whole build, but my favorite combo is to go e/n and take Feast of Corruption as your elite. It works wonders combined with ice spikes and deep freeze.

There are a few Water builds. Support and Hexes. For Support you might use Ward against Harm and Armor of Mist to keep you alive. For Hexes you can try Ice prison, Mind Freeze, Deep Freeze, Blurred Vision.

Really the only use I have found for water elementalists is as flag runners.

1 Deep freeze
2 ice spikes
3 Shard storm
4 blurr vision
5 ice spear/frozen burst/armor of mist/aura of rest/Res skill
6 Conjure frost(yay nomore silly removeing enchants)
7 Water Attunement
8 Water trident/elemental attunement
your basicaly not tossing spells around like a normal elem instead you wana pick on a target or group of them and try to time deep freeze and ice spikes so that they are almost constantly slowed if you pick elem attunement over trident you can spam ice spear more often and replace conjure with any other skill if you pick trident conjure will serve you well as it boosts your in between staff/wand smackings but you wont be able to spam the more costly water skills as often

Why not just go E/R and take a page from the premades...just use Energizing Wind from your Ranger Side and put the rest of your points into Water and Energy Storage...that way you can still toss around your Water Skills a lot since they now cost ~10 energy each

Cause your already slowly recharging Water Spells would be recharging even slower.
