Need Help with my PvP Hammer Warrior Build!
Ok, I've just recently joined this forum because I am searching for advice on my PvP W/E build. Currently I am using a KD/AS Warrior Build, and it looks like this:
Hammer Mastery: 14
Strength:10
Earth Magic:10
Irresistable Blow
Counter Blow
Hammer Bash
Backbreaker(E)
Belly Smash
Aftershock
Empty
Rez Signet
I really like this build and I've been having lots of fun with it, but the problem is in PvP, people always seem to constantly Blind me, and that just shuts me down for the rest of the match. So now I'm thinking of becoming a W/N who uses Hammers, that way I have Plague Touch to get rid of conditions. Before I go and change to W/N, does anyone have any suggestions that would help me out so Blind doesn't own me? Or does anyone have any suggestions for a W/N build? All I know is that if I do become W/N, I will use Plague Touch so Blind is no longer a big deal. Please help.

Well if you are going to go W/N then I would consider Barbs. This would give you bigger damage when hitting them. I would take out Counter Blow for Barbs aswell. Most of the time with my KD/AS I aim for the weaker targets for the quick kill and head onto others like Warriors. So, counter blow maybe not work as good.
Hope its helps

plague touch is good for getting rid of conditions such as blind. so, switching to /n would be a good idea.
also, unless your target is a warrior or ranger, which usually isn't the case in pvp, you don't really need counter blow or belly smash. this leaves you with 3 free slots. crushing blow is a must have on a hammer warrior, as deep wound is almost essential for your damage spikes. you might also want to equip either an ias stance or a speed boost. bull's strike is also a good skill that got a major buff in the latest update.
so, a final list of good skills to consider would be:
backbreaker {e}
crushing blow
irresistable blow
hammer bash
bull's strike
sprint/rush
frenzy
plague touch
rez signet
you'll just have to decide which one you need the least to cut it down to 8 skills.

belly smash will blind others. it wont matter if you put blind on a mesmer or monks and you shouldnt be hitting other warriors unless they're the last ones standing.
aftershock isn't as good as you might think. with only 10 in earth it's a waste. you need 16 in hammer imo.
this is what i run most times....
for great justice-speeds up adrenaline
frenzy
sprint
devastating hammer
crushing blow
heavy blow
res sig
im wammo so i use mend ailment to rid myself of blind and cripple. but if you're thinking of w/necro, plague touch is the bomb.
dev hammer/crushing blow will cause a deep wound but the hit after crushing blow is what triggers it. heavy blow ttriggering it will cause bad shit to happen to casters.

If its only blindness you are worried about u can try W/R, pretty sure someone already posted this and this is better off if you are a R/W. If not use a zealous mod.
Irresistible Blow
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Heavy Blow
Flurry
Troll Unguent
Apply Poison
Antidote Signet
Start with Apply poison then Flurry, wait for devo to charge then:
Irresistible Blow > Devastating Hammer > Crushing Blow > Heavy Blow > Irresistible Blow > Flurry.. repeat.

This is like the one I use, except I knockdown and aftershock, and gale... although I haven't tried since update. I would go w/e though.

no real way to drop conditions with w/e. if you're blind for 15 seconds you're ruined. you won't gain adrenaline and without it you wont knock anyone down to make aftershock worth anything. not that it's worth anything now.
in arena the monk is busy staying alive and it's doubtful he'll be worrying about you.
in gvg, w/e is a good option. but you have 2 or 3 monks to take care of you and players with monk secondary just to bring martyr

Well since Gale is dead to a warrior and the Kd+As combo is WAY too mana entensive, I would recommend you to go Wa/N to remove conditions.
Hammery Mastery - 12+3+1
Strength - Rest of your points.
Backbreaker[E]
Crushing Blow
Irresistable Blow
Hammer Bash
Plague Touch
Frenzy
Sprint
Rez sig

I'd run the same as the above build, but with Devastating Hammer instead of Backbreaker.

The knockdown length with the Devastating hammer + Hammer bash combo with Stonefist gloves is the same with Backbreaker + Hammer bash without the Stonefists.

Use Devastating Hammer instead and you'll have a better spike. With stonefist you'll have enough time to smack him down, pull off ur cheap shot then smack him down again the very moment he gets up.
I used W/N up till the point when I met the cripple ranger. Then I changed to W/Mo.

If you ever do run Aftershock, tell me how Aftershock + Earth Shaker feels like, I might be playing Warrior later on (like, half a month later).

I prefer 4 second shut down instead of only 3 seconds. With 4 seconds, you can hit them with Crushing blow and Irresistible blow all within the 4 seconds their on their ass. then you knock them down again with Hammer bash.
The total knockdown time is the same as Devastating hammer + Hammer bash.

You can do the same with Dev. Hammer if you have an IAS stance.

For Tombs, I use this build:
W/E
16 {12+3+1} Hammer Mastery
10 Earth Magic
9 {8+1} Strength
Backbreaker {E}
Irresistable Blow
Crushing Blow
Mighty Blow
Sprint
Frenzy
Aftershock
Res Sig
It just so happens that this build won Halls for my guild and me last night. Hope this helps.

The longer shut down time is better if ur spiking a monk, but I perfer to use Irresistble blow first to give it time to recharge for that extra cheap shot

If I did, I'd run out of adrenaline way too fast... considering the slow attack speed of hammers, I need all the adrenaline I can get. To me, one knock down isn't worth all of my adrenaline.
