Thumbs up the: "Im Not Your B-word" BUILD

[all the following is pvp...]
with mesmers, I'd say they are ordered around alot when lookin for a group in TA or HoH. IMO, aside from monks, the mesmer is a character who, "if your not this, we dont want you"
basically you can join a party only if you're an E-Surge or Shutdown mesmer.
Anyways this build is to show you that mesmers can own, even if you're not cookie-cut. (i bet all of you know this if your hangin around in the mesmer section, but w/e this is the place to post mes builds =/ )

With all of the mesmer builds i've tried, the below is the most effective build in either TA or RA

{Me/Any}
Fast Cast-->8
Illusion----->12
Domination->12
Inspiration->12

Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Shatter Delusions
Backfire
Mantra of Recall [RA/TA] & Power Drain or Channeling [HoH]
Illusion of Weakness [unneeded if HoH]
Ether Feast
Res Sig

YES, this is very simple... there are prolly 50 more degen builds almost just like this. But this one all works together very well. ill say 4/5 times i play this build in 4man, we win.

if you cant tell how it works, i use it like so... Phantom Pain + Conjure Phant. Wait for 9 seconds-> Shatter Delusions. Backfire any caster then lob Conjure Phant for a buffer and wait for him to die.
Spam Conjure on their melee before focusing on a caster or monk.

I'd replace IoW with distortion regarding the high concentration of rangers/wars in RA/TA and the spikes in HA. This also helps to protect you from ranger interupts on your slow casting spells. Also I'd try reworking the attributes a little, inspiration can be somewhat lower imho, and (didnt calculate precisely) I think you're carrying 2 sups or not? that hurts quite a lot when getting spiked. Domination is the only really interesting attribute, whereas for illusion a choice should be made based on distortion break points (assuming you're running it).

i need 12 illusion for that -3 phantom pain. and i wanted a nice boost from the energy draining skilsl as well as ether feast. but your right, ispiration could be knocked down to minor rune. I also use +30hp on staff and +50 sup vigor so that helps alot. i have around 430 health i think.

Wouldn't it be safer to cast Conjure Phant followed by Phantom Pain to make sure you shatter Phantom Pain?

480+50+30-75-75-75-75 (need four sups to reach these stats) = 260 health. This is really insanely low. It's just not possible to get the maximum out of four lines. Just stick to mainly dom or illusion with a bit of inspiration added to both for far more effective builds (also capable of using only 1 sup for a decent HP total).

(12)Illusion= 10+2 [Major Rune in Mask]
(12)Domination= 10+1+1 [Domination Mask] [Minor Rune in Chest]
(12)Inspiration= 9+3 [Superior Rune in Legs]
+50 Health [Superior Vigor in Feet]
+30 Health [Staff Wrapping of Fortitude]
480+50+30-50-75=435

your health could be even higher if you used a minor rune on the inspiration if you think its attribute level is too high

IMO, switch the sup. inspiration for a minor, and the minor domina. for a superior. Major in mask is clever though, nice build btw.

Because backfire can hurt 7+ more dmg. per attribute, and shatter delusions is easily more dmg. because it's spammable. Keep it rolling.
