Hammer Time Ranger
R/W
(without runes)
9 Beast Mastery
11 Hammer
8 Tactics
Rest on Expertise
Devastating Blow
Counter Blow
Crushing Blow
Heavy Blow
Irresistable Blow
Tiger's Fury
Healing Signet
Rez Sig
Usage: Throw on Tiger's Fury and watch that adrenaline rise like crazy. Order of attacks should be Devastating, Crushing, Counter (if they try to attack), Heavy. Irresistable blow on stance users. Fairly straightforward but with Tiger's Fury this build really shines past all the other knockdown builds.

Which brings up the age old question of: why not hammer w/r instead?

For this build, yes, I would agree may be go for a good old W/R.
But for some other R/W builds, with the advantage of expertise, there is SOME advantage in certain places.
I personally never been able to play a R/W in a tanking fashion, oftern its traps with Oath shot, thats the best I can do atm.

I run a KD/AS W/E for when I get bored of the PvE part. Its quite funny when a R/W comes up and trys to start smacking you. As a R/W has next to nuthing armour against a Warrior. One dead ranger after the first adrenaline spike.

The ranger have a few tricks to stand toe to toe with a warrior, build dependent of course, I have seen warriors being creamed toe to toe by a melee ranger, more then enough time to know its possibile. So I am sure, its funnier for the next to nothing armoured ranger when they beat a warrior.
However, when I try it, I find that much is dependent on what skills its uses and its timing, certainly that applys to the warrior as well, but at least, they have the highest AL of all classes. From my experience, once you miss your timming of a defensive stances, againest a warrior with your R/W, its very likely you will not be very healthy.

Yeah with high expertise and high mana you can spam Tiger's Fury none-stop. A warrior can spam it twice and then he's screwed.
